Food was not good. Enchiladas were fine but the cheese sauce (literally a melted chunk of Mozzarella cheese with nearly burnt chirizo on top) is laughable, tamale was dry, etc. Hard pass next time.

It was very good service and very authentic food. There were no vegetables with the combo platters that we ordered. Adding some simple iceberg lettuce and tomatoe would be nice. It would add some color and texture to the platter. Just a helpful hint, not a criticism.

Authentic Mexican. Have visited twice, both times the food was good. The service is a little disorganized, having to ask servers for drinks before they run off, and reminding them we ordered an appetizer because the food came out and still no appetizer. One table of 2 walked out after waiting 30 minutes to order after being sat. If they could get better organized, it would have gotten 5 stars.

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA and it was a 20 minute drive from where I lived (Coronado) to the Tijuana border and unless I was actually IN Mexico, none of the food in all of San Diego county in my 38 years there is or was as authentic as the food at La Luna. I was AMAZED and in LOVE with how delicious the food is and how nice the staff is!!! I’ve been to Mexico more times than I can count and I can tell you, the food at La Luna is the real thing!!! SOOO delicious!!!

I eat here almost every Sunday as it is one the few restaurants that are open on Sundays. The Sunday crowd can get kinda thick but the staff manages it well. Also, very good service.
