The best bbq sandwich I have ever had and I’m so sad I live 3 hours south of this place. The side of macaroni and cheese was a complete joke though.. the smallest portion you could ever get. Get the sandwich and pass on the sides. I’m still rating it a 5 bc that sandwich was just that good. Sorry I didn’t get a pic of the BBQ.. I was just too shook about the size of the macaroni and cheese and not that great either.

The food was delicious. I had a brisket sandwich, and my wife had a pork sandwich. Both were filled with so much meat that it fell out of the bun. We could have used a lot more napkins than came in the pre-packaged cutlery packs.

We stopped by as we passed through Tate on our way to Alabama from North Carolina. This place is a gem and the food was delicious! We ordered brisket tacos and a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was one of the best that I have ever eaten! The owner was friendly and so gracious. He recognized my App hat and we had a nice chat about Boone. I can’t wait to try the ribs (for the road) tonight for dinner. If you are in Tate Sideburners is well worth a stop.

I ordered the brisket tacos because I wanted to try something new. Was a little disappointed when I first looked at them because they didn’t look great tbh, but that immediately changed with my first bite. They were so flavorful and juicy I could’ve eaten 10 of them. Will definitely be back here to order the same exact thing
