Believe EVERYTHING people say about this place and just go. It is so inventive and delicious. As a Filipina, I am so proud to see how well Kultura is doing. It’s Filipino food but elevated. I can’t wait to experience brunch here, too!

I love Filipino food and was very excited to try this place. Located inside Baguette Magic on Fridays/Saturdays, I sat inside at the counter. The space is small but cozy, with some outdoor seating. The food menu was limited to two appetizers, three entrees and a dessert. I started with the Lumpia Fresh, which turned out to be a deconstructed lumpia… different yet tasty. The Pancit was good, but didn’t care for the giant piece of pork belly that sat on top of the dish. The Kare-Kare was my favorite, which was very tender and packed so much flavor. I opted out of the dessert, and instead enjoyed a decaf honey lavender oat milk latte…delicious. The hostesses were sisters and were very nice, asking about my trip to Charleston.

My wife and I are visiting from out of town for a few days. I’m so happy we found this spot. Kultura is a pop up restaurant located in Henrietta’s. It’s only open on Fridays and Saturdays. The staff were kind and welcoming. We shared the ARROZ CALDO, LECHON PAKSIW, and SINIGANG. The food was fantastic and sharing three dishes was the perfect amount of food for us. So many different flavors! Their menu rotates often so you might not get the same menu we did. The vibe is casual, cozy, and chill. The space is small so a reservation is recommended. 10/10 – we’d love to come back and try more creations someday. ✌️

Top notch food and service! The food has modern twists while staying true to the classic Filipino flavors that brings me right back to my childhood. The sweet soy cause on the tokwat baboy was delectable. The Pancit had strong citrus flavor and was a tad bit salty but the lumpia that came with the dish was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The pop up restaurant is located in a cafe so the space is quite small but it allows for an intimate setting with the chef and servers. It really emphasizes a sense of community. I can’t wait to see where this concept goes and hopefully a bigger and permanent location in the future!

As a second generation Filipino-American, I could not be happier to have eaten the unique yet familiar food served at Kultura. Chef Nikko has somehow found a way to take the various Filipino flavors that I grew up with and add a modern twist that you can’t find elsewhere in Charleston. Upon stepping into their restaurant, we could tell the food would be delicious based on smells coming from the kitchen; as such, we ordered almost everything on the menu: pork ribs, soft-shell crab pancit (noodles), pyanggang manok (coconut chicken), and flan.

Don’t let insta fool you. The food here is purpose built for pics and lacks any real flavor. Service was underwhelming for us and bad for the group next to us. They ran out of all the pastries before we got there. Easily controllable aspects of our visit were complete fails by the restaurant. That’s why the rating is so low. If not for the terrible experience, the food we had was just ok. Entirely forgettable, especially compared to other places in Charleston.
