This is one of the absolute best soul food restaurant’s in Greensboro. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The owner came out before we left just to make sure we enjoyed our experience. I will definitely be back!

So the reason I chose this place was bc their menu had liver & onions. Unfortunately, they no longer serve that dish, however they do have lots of good soul food. The chicken is good and the chicken wings are big. The pork chops also were tasty & not overdone. All of the veggies were good but okra was my favorite. We will certainly go back bc they were very friendly and that also helps!

Order was done in a timely manner & great customer service. However chicken taste & looked like it was cooked in oil that needed changing. My chicken was also huge thought it was turkey. Alot of fat left on chicken. Cornbread was DRY & burnt. Mac & cheese was ok & yams were good. I really consider myself to be a foodie and for me this wasn’t it. Looking at other reviews maybe this was just a bad day.

This place was AWESOME! The ambiance was beautiful, great food with some great people 🙂 I loved the elevated surface. But, green beans was trash.

Concerned as we walked in and the heat inside the dining room hit us. Had to be over 80 degrees.

A lot people don’t know about this restaurant but was glad to find it listed as one of the top black owned businesses in Greensboro . This place is a hidden gem with amazing food and good customer service. Everything was delicious and will be back for more.

Arlene’s Restaurant experience was extraordinary for myself. I was there to meet with our Mentor group, which there was plenty of space for us to meet in comfort.

I forgot to take a photo of the food. We were greeted by servers upon entering and quickly seated. There was a lot of items to choose from on the menu. I chose meatloaf with gravy, homemade mashed potatoes and pinto beans. My coworker had fried fish, which covered one plate, homemade macaroni and cheese and green beans. The food arrived prompt and hot. It was delicious and flavorful.

Heard good things about this restaurant so I decided to try it! The greens were cooked too long but seasoned very well. The sweet potatoes needed a pinch more cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar, however, the fried chicken was cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend!
