Best Italian food in RVA! Reminded my husband of home (NJ/NY). You could tell it was all made fresh in house!! Our server, Izabella, was super sweet and attentive! Great experience all around and I would highly recommend coming here!

The portions are huge and absolutely delicious! And our waiter was so nice, helpful, and timely. He really knew the menu, which was helpful since we had a large party of people who hadn’t visited before. The bread they brought out before the meal was also great. Will definitely be returning. Depending on what you get will either put you in the $10-20 or $20-30 price per meal category.

We held my daughters rehearsal dinner at Giambancos this past weekend. We had about 80ish people and the staff was amazing and prepared. We did a limited entree menu and preselected appetizers and all the food was on point and served very timely. We also purchased the Giambancos Sangiovese for the wedding and late night pizzas for the wedding night that were delivered well ahead of time. The wine was gone in no time it’s so good. Thanks so much to the staff of Giambancos for taking such good care is us on a special weekend.

I work in Richmond area about once a month and it visited Giambancos several times. I keep trying other restaurants and keep coming back. I have a favorite family-owned Italian restaurant at home and this is the closest thing I found anywhere. Good food, good service. Nice family that own this. It’s a little out of my way but it beats driving down town in Richmond and the quality is as good as anywhere in town. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.

First time for us at Giambancos. You’ll never drive past here and see the place, it’s hidden behind a parallel strip mall closer to 360 in Mechanicsville. This was literally the best Italian meal we’ve had in the area. The Antipasta Rustico was very tasty, with eggplant, roasted red pepper and mozzarella. The balsamic on it really made it nice. We tried a Margherita Pizza with the Pomodoro Sauce and we found the flavors amazing! The only thing better would be if it were cooked more “well”, could be a personal preference, everyone has their own ideas on what they like in a pizza. The sauce was so unique tasting, it was hard to put my finger on it, but it was fantastic. The dough is fresh made, you could tell. The bread/butter before the meal was fresh baked, and it was by far the best bread I’ve had in VA. I would return just for the bread if they would let me. We also tried the Chicken Parmesan dinner and it was right on point. The chicken was cooked perfectly, lots of cheese and their tomato sauce was delicious.

The Service is Great, the Atmoshere was Great, we had been ordering Pizzas from them which are very authentic and great… We decided to go in and have a sitdown dinner last Tuesday.. i ordered Lasagna… it was almost completely a sauce very little meat or pasta….
