Take it from the top with a strikingly decadent creamy burrata with antipasti of vegetables (from grilled to fried to roasted), not to mention toasty focaccia cubes and anchovy-rich black olive tapenade. This Silo-cousin in the Fairmount Hotel shares amenities with the steakhouse Silo Prime, including guest access to the romantic rooftop terrace bar for be-fore- or after-dinner drinks. Settle in for entrées like velvety smooth gnocchi topped with tender shredded rabbit with fennel and olives, meaty rich bolognese, and a pizza topped with blue cheese, zucchini, and cauliflower. You will start your meal with some Bread and Tamponade.Great drink options with a large wine list. All of the food was excellent and the portions were just right. Highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli or the Gnocchi. Don’t forget to finish your meal with dessert. The service was excellent!!! Hunter was great! This is a great place for a special occasion or just a night out. They have a lot of construction in the front but they have plenty of parking options

I had some doubts as hotel restaurants are not always the best we have seen. When we entered the lobby we knew that Nonna Osteria would be special. We were immediately and professionally greeted. The entrance to the restaurant is lined with wine bottles, in a very nice arrangement. The seating and decor is very well done. Our server was very great, professional and polite. The food was also outstanding and the dessert excellent as well. Five stars well deserved, we will be back!

Different locations, different menus, but the same great dedication to accepting nothing less than perfection with every plate and bite served. Having tried only the uptown location recently, I was worried that one location was to be markedly better than the other, and I’d have to choose the next time I wanted incredible high-end yet homemade Italian. Thankfully, for the denizens of San Antonio, each location can stand on its own! I never thought that Chef Luca, his cooks, and staff would ever rest on their laurels, and thankfully, yet again, I have been proven right. I look forward to my next chance to dine again at Nonna’s Osteria.

Nice itialian food with fantastic presentation. Was expecting a whole fresh burrata than a completely melted one. Also, more of butter and less cheese flavors. Nice ambiance and great service. Our staff was very friendly and quick.

When we arrived the entrance is through a wine display and it looked amazing. Manager/servers/host were all very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious but a bit overpriced for the quality. I got the wild boar and it was well worth the price. My wife got the lobster and it was such a small quantity for $35 It was a bit ridiculous. My mom got the $70 pasta with black truffle and literally there was like 8 shavings of truffle. Delicious plate tho but not $70 delicious. Overall food was very good but not amazing. Tab came out to around $260. But definitely can get same quality for for under $200 at a different location. Great place tho I would still recommend!!

The olive tapanade and bread pieces they bring out when you arrive was good. Octopus appetizer was delicious!

I had heard great things and was so disappointed. We ordered the branzino, not very flavorful and Tartufo which was the most expensive thing on the menu, it had good flavor but not $70 worth and it was lukewarm. It was a beautiful place but our main server was not friendly at ALL and I had to be the one to ask how she was and try and get some kind of reaction from her. Our secondary server was very sweet. Over all I would not go back.

Cocktails were fabulous, the caprese salad was delightful! (Pictured) Ordered the bolognese entree and it was very good, my boyfriend ordered the Gnocchi and said it was the best thing he’s had in a long time. The service was friendly, and prompt. Parking was readily available across the street. It does get a little loud in the dining room, but all in all it was a great experience!

The food here was unbelievably delicious. We walked in without a reservation and got a seat at the bar since the place is always so busy. The bartenders were amazing, and the service was extremely quick. I would come back!

Holy moly! San Antonio has a legit and beautiful northern Italian restaurant. We started with the arancini and goat cheese/pesto apps, had the cinghiale (wild boar) pasta and carbonara with guanciale (pig jowls/cheeks) for mains, sorbeto for dessert, great drinks, and burrata to go. Best of all was the service we experienced from the hostess to our amazing server Raykiea to the floor manager. From start to end, this was a memorable anniversary dinner experience which reminded us of our meals in northern Italy. Una buona forchetta…complimenti!
