Tried to try the restaurant for the first time on an UberEATS special and had my order cancelled because they were out of chicken tenders. It’s not a great look for a first time customer that a chicken restaurant runs out of chicken tenders, x2 when they’re running a special on chicken tenders. Wish I could’ve found another good chicken place but looks like I’m eating chicken express tonight.

Honestly, very mid. I got the tenders and they were fine. Not my usual jam, but I was hungy so I figured their deal would be worth it. Mac and cheese is better than Chicken express, worse than Chick FIL a. Rolls are very basic, mashed potato as basic, not seasoned super well. Gravy was a little substandard. As a chicken tendy lover l, this place ain’t it.

I ordered fried mushrooms for $3.68 and got 5 teeny tiny mushrooms that were burnt to a crisp and covered in grease. Macaroni and cheese also came in the smallest portion like maybe 2 tablespoons of cooked noodles with watery flavorless cheese. Chicken was better than the sides but sub par at best, quite greasy, and had a fishy taste like they use old grease and fry their fish and chicken in the same gease. Paid $25.36 on doordash, I was starving so I was pretty excited when the food got here. When I opened the plate I was like wowwww this doesn’t look appetizing at all. Took one bite of everything and the threw it straight in the trash, which is ironic bc that’s basically what i did with $25.36 when I decided to try Tom’s Fried Chicken.

I just went to the drive-through and ask them what kind of family meal deals that I had. Lady said extremely annoyed. Made me feel stupid for asking questions so I just left. I’m going to Lisa’s fried chicken instead.

Aside from the grease being old my biggest concern is that whoever is supplying their thighs are actually cutting one-third of the meat from the thigh. The thighs do not appear to be a triangle they are a rectangle, because of a portion of the dark meat being cut away before the chicken is sold to the restaurant. But even if the chicken was whole, the burnt grease make sure that it has nothing of desire. Chicken gizzards or burnt to a crisp. The amount of batter on the gizzards was 4 times as much as the gizzard. The gizzard itself, small, tough, and burnt. I had wash my hands of this Lisa’s location, but decided to give it another chance 8 months ago. Everything was fine when I came back then, but I see that they reverted back to their old ways. I recommend that you go to the branch on Camp Bowie, it’s only a couple miles away.

Possibly the worst chicken I’ve ever had. I got the tenders and my boyfriend got the fish. The chicken tenders were rubbery and had no flavor. Nothing was seasoned at all. No flavor. They didn’t even butter the corn on the cob. They charge for small packets of sauce and if you don’t dine in you can’t take to go cups for ketchup lol. Nothing about the plates were good. I wouldn’t be as upset for the nasty food if I didn’t pay $25 for two plates which imo wasn’t worth the price. Also don’t go here if you’re looking for nice customer service. They rush you when you order and rush you to leave even when there’s zero people in there ordering or waiting. Highly don’t recommend.
