First overall experience was great. Clean dining room, friendly employees, and the food was pretty darn good. We’re a fan of the brisket (moist), the cream corn, potato salad, and even the pork ribs were pretty solid. When it came time for dessert- the pecan pie was a bit too “boozy” tasting for me (texture was a bit runny for my liking), so we decided to try the banana pudding… it was really good.

I was excited about trying Smokey Mo’s but I must have gotten the batch of chopped beef that they dumped a load of salt in or maybe it wasn’t a mistake and that’s just how your beef tastes. All I could taste was the salt, ugh!

The food is very good. The meat was delicious, perfectly smoked ribs and the sides are fantastic. My ribs were great but my wife’s were pitiful hunks of leftover meat. I think the rib portions are small for the price. All in all it’s a good BBQ place but check your meat before you leave in case you’ve gotten the bottom of the pan. The staff was very friendly and i’m sure they’d make it right if you said something but they shouldn’t have served her portion to begin with.

1st time ordering from here and I had my daughter pick it up. She said. Those ladies are friendly and have good customer service. Food was good and tasty bbq sauce. Macaroni was good, yummy banana pudding. Next time I’ll try the jalapeño sausage and potatoes.

Loved this place! Some friends and I got the 3 Meat Family deal, and everything was delicious! Big props to them for getting the Smoked Turkey done right, not an easy meat to smoke and not dehydrate. Prices were pretty fair as well, especially with the market pricing currently. Absolutely loved their sides, especially the Potato Salad

I have lived in Kyle over 20 years. I know local folks who are not happy seeing our fair city grow into a big town. When I say they were building a Smokey Mo’s, I thought “Thank God it is not another Chicken, Mexican, Pizza or Chinese joint.” As I was driving, I did see a young lady holding a sign for breakfast tacos. I was unaware they were open that early. I had been to Smokey Mo’s in Austin on a few occasions.

Some of the best bbq I have ever had. Loved the turkey, ribs and pork loin! Went the second time to try the jalapeño sausage and brisket! Both really good. I would suggest to get the moist cut of brisket! Ambience is nice as well.

Went for breakfast. Hostess was just a rude person. I asked how long the wait would be – and she said whenever your table is ready. Then made a snide comment about me dining alone. Needs better training in customer service, and filtering what you say.. Unprofessional.
