What a wonderful find in La Pine. This mom and pop dinner is right on highway 97 and it’s like stepping into grandma’s house. The farm decor and poultry in various form displayed proudly in the simple and homey dinning area. The food is classic greasy spoon goodness. Breakfast was amazing all around. Hashbrowns perfectly done, chicken fried stake was exactly what I was looking for. Good food for a very reasonable price. Look out for the glass of milk! It’s gigantic!

My wife and I went here to have a nice breakfast. We came here a couple months ago for the first time. This place is a cozy little cafe off of Highway 97 in Lapine Oregon. Both times we were here, we were greeted by Jamie with a smile. My wife had the Southwest omelette, and I had the Corned beef hash. The omelette was huge, and the corn beef was not out of a can, it was fresh. Jamie is so friendly and a great waitress. The home like atmosphere reminds me of my grandmas. The prices are very reasonable and the food portions are big. I recommend this little cafe to anyone who likes good food and great hospitality.

Loved our breakfast and the friendly locals. Best true-blue American dining experience – the corned beef hash magnificent and the omelet complete with taco meat, olives, peppers etc, was delicious and filling. Service relaxed and generous with bottomless coffee and great value! From the 2Aussies

Food might be good, but it’s been 40 minutes and haven’t received it. One cook who does one order at a time. If I had known coming in, we’d have gone elsewhere. Only 4 tables have been served since we got here. Not impressed. Was supposed to be a quick stop for breakfast not an hour. For such basic fare it shouldn’t take this long. Don’t stop unless you want a long rest. Friendly enough service, though they seem to be out of number of basic things, like orange juice and fries.

There were messages (and prior reviews) posted that warned us of a long wait time, which was initially fine, but we ended up waiting more than an hour for our food to be served even when the restaurant wasn’t bopping. The food was decent-tasting but “plain” – just basic fare. Overall not very impressed; had the food been more filling, or had there been more of a staff/less of a wait time, then it might have been a better experience.
