My husband is so good at picking out restaurants but today was a bummer. His club sandwich was so good but I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich with cream potatoes and brown gravy was a disappointment! While traveling out west or Midwest I love trying out the different chicken fried steaks but this was unlike any other. The mystery meat was tough and chewy! The creamed potatoes were instant just as the brown gravy!

This is a very homey place serving classic diner food. It is not fancy but the excellent and quick service outweighs a maudlin atmosphere. The food was good but simple which was what I was craving. I suspect it gets a busy early crowd wich may liven the place up. Somewhere grandparents and grandkids can be satisfied. This place reminds me of the Cafe our aunt ran in my mom’s home town of 340 people during the late 80s and early 90s. Truly a welcome memory of a time and/or place I thought was gone. Tip your servers well at this place.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Food and service is always top notch. I had many different foods there never been disappointed not once. If you live in North Platte your lucky if you traveling through make it a stop for the best food and service. We were fortunate enough to be in town for serval months. I took advantage of it by have lunch and dinner as many times as I could. The 4 piece all white chicken dinner is a over the top winner for the best fried chicken I ever had. So make it to the place to put a smile on your face and a full belly to say it was worth the trip.

We got to a table and had to wait a while for a menu and drinks, but they were busy. After that everything was great. The food came out quick and tasted amazing with lots of flavor. Our server was nice and checked on us a number of times. Overall a great experience.
