The Carriage House Restaurant is located at Castle in the Clouds, a 1914 mountaintop estate in Moultonborough, NH. It offers the most breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains and lakes! Dine outside on the lake-view terrace, or inside in the historic horse stalls.
From late May through late October, the Carriage House Restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch from 11:30am-3:30pm. From January through March, it is open on weekends only, offering lunch on Saturdays and a brunch buffet on Sundays.

Good food and service. Long wait time, one hour and 45 minutes. We were given a pager but we decided to go tour the castle. We came back and our table was ready.

We waited 30 minutes for a table as plenty of tables were empty, then once we sat we waited another 30 minutes plus and no one took our order inspite of us asking. The menu was a bit foodservicy so having enjoyed the view for all this time we decided there were much better food options elsewhere. The slowest table service I have ever seen. Plenty of ways to enjoy the pretty view without the pain of dreadful slow service!

I definitely recommend this place for lunch, drink or leasure snack. Menu is just right that everyone can choose to their liking. Meals tend to be light and more snack types rather then heavy sit down meals. Breath takin views from the restaurants terrace will help you enjoy your meal even better.

Very good lunch here. We ate on the balcony (the weather was nice) with a fantastic view of Lake Winnipesaukee and the valley. Make sure you know their hours as they are limited. Also, calling ahead can be a good idea as they may have weddings or other events which could impact your visit and timing.

Spoke w the chefs. They are experienced and care about what’s offered and served. Started with clam chowder. Rich and excellent. Next 5-cheese Mac n cheese with pulled pork. Really nice. My wife had a Tomfoolery sandwich. Delicious. Outdoor view is breathtaking.
