Best BBQ in Texas! We were traveling through this town and our transmission blew out so we were stuck here for some time. While waiting for our truck to get fixed, we went here and had lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the BBQ was and how friendly and accommodating the server was. We had the smoked pork ribs and beef brisket. Both were amazingly flavoured especially with the smoky taste. Apparently, the owner actively smokes the meat in the back.

Stopped for a late dinner friday night. They close at 9, we got there about 8.25. They took great care of us and didn’t rush us when they closed. The ground sirloin steak was delicious, and the loaded baked potato was good. My favorite was the fried okra (photographed), which was fresh and hot and deserves 6 stars. The cobblers looked delicious, but we were too full to order one. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were good. We would go back.

Great little BBQ stop between Dallas and Amarillo. It’s become a tradition to stop here when passing through. I always get the sampler. Gotta ring the bell too to let them know the food and service was great.

The zucchini sticks, brisket, sausage, fried okra, and potato salad were wonderful and the service was excellent! (The vintage tractor pull competition pics belonging to the owner were fun too) A fortunate stop for these travelers!

Ribeye was great, Ranchero chicken was fantastic, sirloins just disappeared….You gotta try the squirrel nuts! The mudslide brownies were gone before I could get a bite!!! Its a tiny little stop and doesn’t look like much but we would go back

Great catfish! Tasted fresh and not muddy. The home fries were crispy. The coleslaw was fresh made. Also crispy hushpuppies. The tarter sauce was fresh made. I’ve eaten here through dine in and carry out several occasions. The food quality and taste is consistently good. I would recommend eating here if you are looking for down home southern cooking.
