Truth Pizzeria is a small dine-in / take-out restaurant located just east of downtown San Antonio, Texas. TRUTH’s focus is on simple, classic recipes using a wood-fired oven.
Starting in 2013, as Sulla Strada Pizza, a new concept was born, combining a wood-fired pizza oven and a food truck. Proving not only to be a great idea but a great pizza, the customer base grew and the positive reviews started coming in.
Fast forward to 2018, Sulla Strada Pizza traded in its truck keys for a new, brick-and-mortar restaurant, appropriately named Truth Pizzeria. Opened in June 2020, TRUTH has already started to make a (new) name for itself offering the same great pizza, same great sandwiches, and the same great service!

Unbelievable food. The Nolan chanclas sandwich was wildly flavorful. The combo of cream Cheese and housemade pesto with the pancetta chunks was PERFECT. Truly divine. Their white pizza is heavenly. The creamy garlic ricotta is the world’s best topping. Their crust is spot on with a true Italian crispy thin edge. Definitely best when served hot and fresh. We are coming back!

Tried Truth for the first time today. Ordered some takeout. Pizza was fine tasting aside from it being beyond burnt (the picture makes it look better). We called them not looking for anything but to let them know our pizza was very burnt and our call was met with “well, what do you want me to do about it?”

Pizza was good but they need to be careful on burning the crust. It ruins the pizza on that bite. My wife’s was the burnt one and was slightly disappointed. My pepperoni was good but I’m with her on that. If in the area I’ll try again.

Seriously, the BEST pizza in San Antonio! Not to mention the Chancla Sandwiches (Nolan is my FAVORITE!!). Additionally, the wine and beer selections are a perfect pairing to the wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches!

After looking for real italian pizza for 6 years in San Antonio, Truth pizza is the first place we found it. The pizza was sooooo delicious and the prices were very affordable. The tomato sauce was amazing, the dough was crispy around the edges but soft and fluffy too. I would give this restaurant a 5 star rating and a 10 for outstanding. We will be back soon!!!!!! Thanks for providing a great atmosphere and friendly service backed up with fantastic flavor.
