We come here often and it has usually been pretty good. On our visit tonight it looked like they had revamped. I got the chopped salad and wasn’t super impressed, but my son got the pizza and it was great. He got the larger one and it was huge. My husband got the nachos and gave them five stars. Kids menu is the same as most places and my daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers. New highlight was the dessert menu! We got the molten chocolate lava cake to share and it was delicious.

This place isn’t even trying. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It wasn’t anything that resembled an Old Fashioned. I sat at the bar while some pretentious woman, apparently an owner, barked orders at the staff while she sat there eating breakfast. The staff needs proper training and the bar is in dire need of a mixologist. The food was subpar at best. BBQ sauce on Nachos. No thanks. What a waste of a beautiful venue. I expected so much more out of Eastern Oklahoma.

The atmosphere is amazing, but the food and drinks leave a lot to be desired. I ordered an old fashioned and got some syrup concoction served to me instead. I politely said that it was too sweet and was not an old fashioned and asked for a beer instead. The original cocktail was watered down in an attempt to kill the sweetness and was returned to our table (I still didn’t drink it). My wife ordered the Monterey Chicken, and I had the Tomato basil penne with chicken (I had a hamburger for lunch and didn’t have many other options). The Monterey Chicken was extremely dry and had little to no flavor. My pasta tasted like it was doused in Campbell’s Tomato soup from a can, and the penne was severely overdone and mushy. My chicken was also very dry and had little to no flavor. Now the good news is that the kid’s menu was incredible! My kids had the Chicken tenders and the pulled pork sliders. I immediately wished I had ordered from the kid’s menu when the food arrived at the table. Service was tad on the slow side but decent overall. Our server was very likable.

The wine was delicious, the waiter was kind, but a bit slow. The catfish was very salty and the beans had pork in them. The hush puppies were delicious. I don’t think i want to return. Time is valuable. And mediocre food didn’t help, i was expecting something amazing, but i underestimated it.

We are here visiting from out of town and wanted to try this place out. My husband ordered the salmon, I ordered the monterrey chicken and our son ordered a burger. Flavor was good, except the rice was a little dry. Portions were small and we all left hungry. The hostess was NOT friendly at all. Didn’t smile or greet us and actually looked irritated that we were there. That made us feel a little unwelcome and uncomfortable. Server was great. Menu has limited options. Definitely not worth the $70 we spent. I expect to be full and leaving with my leftovers at that price. Such a bummer for such a beautiful spot. We wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience at Doc’s Bar and Grill which was surprising. We brought friends to Doc’s to celebrate a birthday lunch, but we regret the choice. We waited forever for our food as those who came in after us ate and left. When we questioned the waitress on why it was taking so long she said it was because they use fresh foods and it takes a long time to prepare. When our food finally arrived the sandwiches were hard and dry on top, and wet and mushy on the bottom. If you make a mistake on an order admit it, most people will understand. Don’t use a lame excuse and serve undesirable food. You can do better Doc’s.

Don’t waste your money! The food is not good. The catfish was absolutely disgusting. It tasted and smelled rotten. The salmon was about three bites and also burnt. The rice tasted really weird. We wasted $70 and won’t eat there again. There are way better places on Grand Lake for better prices.

We ordered pizza, and it was adequate, not something I would go out of my way for. Service friendly if a little slow. Restaurant and restrooms were clean and tidy. Lots of TVs for watching sports. Probably a great place to go after playing golf or boating and meeting friends. For a couple looking for a meal, and not caring to linger, I would get takeout.

Service is very slow. On our 3rd day we had a server who was incredibly rude. My 6 yr old dropped his $11 single chocolate chip pancake on the floor once it was recieved. We asked the server to bring us a new one and she seemed upset and didn’t respond, a few minutes later she left our table and we weren’t sure if she heard our request. 5 minutes later she inconsiderately wedged herself underneath my chair while I was eating, all without explanation as to what was going on. She then, without asking , moved my son and his chair towards the window and picked up the pancake with her hands. She walked it back to the kitchen awkwardly with both hands underneath. I got up to follow her bc I was unsure about what was happening here! She holds the pancake up to her cook and the staff and starts swearing and yelling about my son accidently dropping it. This swearing (using the F- word) and outburst happened 2 more times. We got the manager, paid the bill and got the heck out of there! (Woman was older and blond, we were there on Wednesday morning Aug 9th).
