Food is great when you get it or order it. This is the second time we go, when there is another event going on. Waitress was quick to get drinks and appertizer. We asked to give us a few minutes for the main order. This turned into 30+ minutes. We made a second order and 30+ minutes later we were told it shouldn’t be long. I asked what was the problem. The answer was that there were a lot of tickets. The meeting room was empty, the dinning room was not full. The bar had a children’s band. The waitress was basically in the bar or the kitchen. In both incidents the excuse was the amount of orders. If that is the case you may consider more help in the kitchen and the floor.

I love La Casa! Classy place on the Bayou to get great Mexican style dishes. The Supreme Nachos are the best, but the Shrimp Nachos are also a favorite! Something surprising is how delicious their Cowboy Ribeye is. And I also can’t visit without getting one of their Mango Margaritas. Perfect!

We didn’t get our chips and salsa until an hour and thirty minutes into the time we sat down. They didn’t take our meal numbers until about 20 minutes after the chips and salsa and then took our orders. We didnt get our food until about 8:30. After we were done we had to pay for the bill and we didn’t want to leave without paying dispite the terrible service but we had to wait about 30 minutes for the bill to come and we have children to go to school in the morning. The food wasn’t THAT great either. The only good thing about it was thr PJ Masks characters to make the little one happy.

I don’t know what happened since our visit a year ago,but we waited a while to be served, our food didn’t taste like it normally would, and my margarita didn’t taste like la casa peach margarita. The service was ok. I did see new faces and an old face. I don’t even remember seeing a manager present and that is unlike la casa.

My family and I were in the Raceland area and wanted to stop for a quick meal without resorting to eating fast food. I saw La Casa and figured we would stop there. We always eat at their restaurants in Houma & Thibodaux and have always had fast and great service so I figured the one in Racelan would be the same. After sitting down and ordering drinks our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes then returned to check on us and I had to remind her I had ordered a margarita and was waiting on it. Well another 30 minutes goes by before she returns to take our meal orders. Meals took probably 30 – 40 minutes to prepare and bring to us. Total time spent there for a family of 3 to order and eat food was close to 2 hours vs. Houma or Thibodaux location where we can be in and out in about 45 minutes. I will not be returning to the Raceland location

I had the grilled shrimp nachos and a Xochit soup ( the real language of Mexico) I’ve come back here to try something signature but to be honest I was just passing through and looking for a place to eat.

Lukewarm food. Sad. No spice, I mean it’s not Mexican food if it’s bland. Staff very nice, but you need to visit a Chicago Mexican restaurant. Mmmmmmm….
