Stopped in while walking home and tried the house green fig soda. Great drink with a great atmosphere while chatting up staff I was convinced to make a dinner reservation for the following night.

A very high end and sophisticated one-Michelin star Japanese restaurant so well-hidden you would need to know what the front looks like before you visit.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here with their omakase and beverage pairing. The food was absolutely phenomenal with perfectly attentive service. Beverage pairing was sake focused with some very unusual gems (Basque cider!) Counter seating is a must!

Great service! Not so many people. Everything seems to be very smooth. They have a huge list of Japanese whisky. We had sake pairing that worked very well.

I can imagine someone who really hates this place – most likely because of its soft point in service. But Fortune was with us last night, and we had a wonderful dining experience. First thing first, try to be seated at the counter – which is well lit and more importantly, where you can enjoy an all-night performance by Chef Schlosser.

Visually perfect and extremely entertaining dining experience! Food quality is very high and each dish led me to wait the next one eagerly. Everything was exotic and novel in taste and I could feel the true passion of chefs from each dish.

Jonathan Gold’s 2016 #2 restaurant is unique and provides a transcendent and dream like experience. I went alone and sat quietly at the bar for 2+ hours, tried half the menu items including several different kind of Sake. Even the miso soup tasted like an inspiration.

Modern take on Japanese izakaya/kaiseki. Unique menu that is heavily influenced by the classics but really enjoyed it. Make sure to get the Holstein beef, the onion 5 ways and DEFINITELY the Koji rice cream dessert. Divine!
