My husband and I have been wanting to go here for the last year! We finally did and it did NOT disappoint :). We love the coziness, the variety of items on the menu and the environment. It’s generally an older crowd who are very polite quiet and respectful. The youngest people that came in while we were there were a bit louder and cussed which makes me sad with the population that’s on the rise. I love and respect how people can be considerate of others as well as show class and grace…. as for this establishment we will be back and support them.

Once you figure out how to enter the establishment (the driveway for the hotel, NOT Cracker Barrel OR the fenced in dead end), what a pleasure! The menu floored me with the breakfast choices (4 different types of Eggs Benedict). I chose the Salmon Benedict and it was fabulous. The server was excellent and most of the employees have been there 14 years since it began. The owner is in the back cooking and the love shows up in the food. As a New Yorker, living in the Midwest has proved a culinary challenge. Fortunately, I have found a few gems and this place tops my list…. I am… Le Fan

We’ve been wanting to go here for sometime but it always seems so busy there. We finally went during a down time and now I see why they’re always busy. Their food was great! The small cottage atmosphere was wonderfully quaint and the service allowed for us to enjoy our food and good conversation. We’ll be back during another less busy time.

It was good just not what I remember. When they first opened they had a definite French feel with artisan-esque meals.

Friendly, bright atmosphere. Staff made you feel part of the family. Extensive breakfast menu. We were seated within 10 minutes.

We had the Lumberjack plates. Very good, except the sausage and bacon were cold. The service was good except my husband requested little ice and got lots of ice in his water. It’s the little details that separate good service from great service. All in all, LaPeep is a nice place for a quiet Monday morning breakfast.

We meet family from Iowa 3 to 4 times a year. We have always been very satisfied with food until our last visit on July 31. Service was excellent but food was not up to your usual standards. Eggs dry, bacon over cooked, toast almost black. We’ll probably try another restaurant next time. I should have complained but the place was do busy, it just wasn’t practical.

Great food. Our server was excellent. I wanted to substitute something on the lumberjack. She reviewed my order to make sure I got the best price while getting everything I ordered. She was very attentive, checking on us several times during our meal. Thank you! I’ll definitely be back.

Great food, friendly waitresses, clean and comfy. Only been twice so far but had nothing but good experiences each time. I got the omni omelet, fluffy eggs and tasted great. Wife got the eighteenwheeler, 2 eggs, hash rows, choice of meat, and 2 French toast. Also got a side of biscuits and gravy. Nice big fluffy biscuits with and thick fresh gravy. It was all delicious.
