Enjoyable meals, large portions. We split the entrees. Servers were friendly, I was surprised that they didn’t wear time appropriate outfits for the historical building’s age. Don’t miss the beautiful staircases at the entrance.

A beautiful building that has a restaurant, suites, gift shops. They require a reservation and if 15 minutes late they will give your table away. Food was fresh and delicious. The bread pudding had a strong bourbon flavor. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

I can’t say enough good about The Trustees Table. It’s farm to garden so everything is fresh and the chef is brilliant. The fried green tomato appetizer is incredible and the pork chop is hands down the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The wine list is small but included a Spanish Cava split. And, being in Kentucky, there’s a great list of bourbons. We were there during the week and they were short staffed but the servers were still prompt, helpful and friendly. And value for dollar spent is very good. Absolutely worth a try.

Highly recommend. Service was stellar. Food was out of this world. Get the fried green tomatoes. You won’t regret it! Shrimp was delicious. Lemon pie was unlike any lemon pie I’ve had. If you get the opportunity, eat here.

We weren’t overly impressed by our lunch here. We got the peach salad which was supposed to come with grilled peaches, however, they weren’t grilled and pretty underripe. It was also a pretty small amount of salad for $16. It is worth stopping in for the shaker lemon pie though! That was delicious and served warm.

The grounds at Shakertown are wonderful the restaurant not so much. It looks as if the preservation quality isn’t well maintained in the restaurant portion of the building. The food at lunch was maybe better than marginal. The major issue was our service. The waitress never offered to take our drink order. We drank water and there’s a good chance 1/2 of us would have chosen water anyways. Service during the meal was so-so but the waitress brought the ticket soon after the meal arrived as if we need to hurry. Meanwhile the adjacent table with the same size party got good service and chatty conversation, they were asked if they would like dessert (we weren’t) they were even shown dessert samples. So this was our 1st and most likely last trip to The Trustees’ Table, thanks but no thanks Taylor.

Loved the fried okra, so crisp & seasoned well. I got the quiche, it was yummy& my husband got the panini & the corn bread salad. We shared everything & both of us loved all of it. The desserts looked delicious but we were too full to try them!
