So it’s a tad pricey, but remember you’re in Essex. I had this roast beef sandwich with cheese bacon, jam on focaccia bread. It was totally delicious. I got a small potato salad which wasn’t really small and a Jarritos it came to a little over $20. Yes, I could’ve eaten cheaper but it most certainly was good. Sit down tables as well as outside dining, nothing fancy there I would go back again the service was great, and they are well staffed.

Great place for sandwiches, everything was a la carte. Limited parking on premises but near by parking available. I ordered the Endeavor sandwich, which had the right amount of meat to veggie ratio. Ate outside at a picnic table enjoying the sun. Can purchase old fashioned candy along with bakery items to fill your sweet tooth.

No other place I have been in the world can hold a candle to Olive Oyl’s. The food, the service, the decor, the people. None better. I am grateful to be able to call them family, and consider Olive Oyl’s home. They have welcomed me, my children and my friends for 3 decades now. We lived in Ivoryton for ten years and loved Olive Oyl’s when it was in its tiny location. We moved to PA in 2009 and returned to Essex this week to visit family. WHAT AN AWESOME NEW LOCATION! The food was excellent–as always! But the restored gas station motifs and collectibles were a fantastic treat. Congrats to the owners! Great upgrade!

Busy place but the line went quick. Fresh, Fast and delicious as we ate out food inside and so much to look at on the walls that we did not even look at our phones. Plenty of parking, eat inside or out.

This place is a GEM! Essex is so lucky to have this super cool food takeout right at the top of Main Street. It’s old fashioned service and super yummy food with a SMILE! Sandwiches are delicious and the Clam Chowder a must. Save room for one of Jen’s Rocky Road Brownies. I cannot say enough about how much we LOVE our Olive Oyl’s!

The food is really good but the woman running the register is a miserable c@nt. She must be the owner because I can’t imagine a place tolerating an employee speaking to customers the way she does. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day the first time I went for breakfast, but then she was even worse today. She’s just not nice. I didn’t have an issue with her personally, but I won’t be back again after the way I witnessed her speak to other customers.
