Apparently new ownership. The previous owners maintained what the original owners did and it was good. On my first trip in under new ownership I looked over the menu and wanted a Club Sandwich my wife wanted a burger and fries. She also loved the shakes they make there but the first thing the menu says is “Ice Cream Machine Down.” So, no shake as far as the Club Sandwich goes, they were out of ham and turkey. New ownership and trying to build business. My ice cream machine would be a priority and I would have ingredients for everything I make even if I have to hit the deli counter at the local grocery store so I have what I need. I owned a restaurant and even gave the previous owners stuff from my restaurant. The burger wasn’t bad but not at all what they were. It seemed smaller/thinner and a lot drier. The fries were the same, a bit over salted though

I debated about posting a review here. I hate to be negative and give people who are running a business a hard time, but today we had lunch here and it was unacceptably dirty inside the restaurant. I’m hoping the owner sees this review and corrects the problem. We checked Google reviews before we stopped here, because this place has been closed for years, and was suddenly open again. Seems like the place got new owners so we decided to give it a try. The service was friendly, the food was just ok, but the inside of the restaurant was dirty, and I mean it hasn’t been cleaned in months, if not years. I used a wet wipe to clean the table we were sitting at, and it was so dirty the wet wipe turned black. As in, the table wasn’t dirty from other people eating at it, it literally hasn’t been wiped down since they reopened. The floor was filthy, again enough dirt to indicate it hasn’t been mopped in months. We peeked into the kitchen while ordering our food, and yeah, I was a little concerned about eating there after looking around. Our food was ok, but certainly not anything special. I love the old-fashioned cheeseburger stands, I’m ok with the building being old and worn out and things looking banged up and used. But we were pretty disappointed in the condition of the restaurant and even though we pass by this place every weekend on our way to Sloughhouse… I wouldn’t eat here again unless they do a major overhaul on the cleaning and maybe get a better quality beef patty. Sorry. 🙁

I had higher hopes the food. Like for $35, the burgers should’ve/could’ve been a little more plump.

Friendly staff. Burgers are ok (they’re frozen). Crinkle cut fries are pretty good (Shake Shack’s are better tho). Also, wish they used Coke products instead of Pepsi, but that’s a personal preference. Service was pretty fast.

This is a mom and pop drive in burger spot! Not the regular fast food place. Stop in if you’re in the neighborhood. It’s a good place to eat.

I thought I would give this place a shot. The lady behind the counter was nice. It was cheaper than expected. The burger is pretty good and so are the fries. I got more fries than expected for a small but I love fries so I’m good with it. I’ll probably go back. It’s kinda small like the squeeze inn used to be back in the day.

They have the best burgers in the surrounding area, by far. Very likely one of the greatest burgers you can get in all of Sacramento. Just over $10 get’s you super double cheese, which has plenty of good quality meat, and tastes amazing. This fed me nearly every day working in that area. And the service is the same, absolutely superb every time. Thank you for being there.

First time eating at the Countryside Drive in. It was recommended by a friend. The burger was dry as hell. The avocado was skimpy and bruised. You can see the skin of the pit. I’m not impressed at all. I honestly want my money back. I waited 40 mins for this crap… and the cashier didn’t greet us- UPDATE : here’s the name and location of the place: Countryside Drive In- 9200 Jackson RD Sacramento, CA 95826
