Well, this is what you’d expect from a buffet style restaurant. We didn’t know it was a buffet until we got there. Most of the food seemed like it came out of a can or was prepackaged (beans, mashed otatoes, gravy, deserts) and the options are very limited. But the fried chicken was very good.

The food is excellent! Worth the drive if you are anywhere near. We have been on a quest for the best Mac and Cheese and this is where you find it. The cornbread is close behind. The famous fried chicken was delicious. It is a must order. They have the best value and the best people. We will be back as often as we are in Rincon area. If you are on your way to the beach it is worth the drive over.

Like the old time Morrison’s and Piccadilly cafeterias. Go through the line and choose your food. Small plate includes entree, two sides, dessert, and biscuit. Large plate gets you an extra side. We skip dessert, and they give us three sides. More than enough to fill you up. Server takes drink order at table. Fried chicken is good. Honor system when you pay… tell them what you had, no order ticket given. Home-style southern cuisine.

We recently discovered Ms. Jean’s after moving to the area, and we absolutely love it. The food is true southern staples and everything tastes like it was cooked by your grandma. The staff is super friendly and the prices can’t be beat. Get there before noon if possible to get a table. I wish I could give it more than five stars!
