The experience here is very homey! The owner is so cute and there’s great entertainment. The apps were delicious, and the cheeseboard was with fig jam was excellent. The bread also comes out warm. The pastas are great and focused on high quality ingredients. The truffle special was so delicious and well balanced. Highly recommend coming here for great Italian food if you’re comfortable with family style!

This family owned corner of New Haven is such a gem. Anna- the owner- is so full of life & so kind. This isn’t just a restaurant- it’s an experience. From the wines, to the atmosphere, to each handmade dish, you could tell this is a labor of love. The antipasti board was delicious. We got two special pastas- one with black truffle cream sauce and sausage, the other with herbs and olive oil- the carbonara, and the bolognese. The porchetta with potatoes was perfectly crisp. The quality of ingredients is there, and it makes a difference! A really unique and wonderful place for dinner but be aware that it’s not the way to go for a quiet dinner- this one is lively and loud and colorful! (For pricing, that included appetizers and two bottles of wine for four people)

What a fantastic gem of a place. Simple menu. Not overwhelming. Very delicious authentic homemade pasta. The reason you go here though is the small Italian family that owns and operates it. The mom (aka Nona) has a daughter and two sons and together they run this place. The Nona is so heartwarming and kind. All the family is nice. The main cook also plays the guitar with classic Italian songs to entertain guests in a cozy environment. This place is a MUST!

My husband and I had a lovely date night here. We frequent New Haven often and cannot believe this was our first time enjoying such a gem of a restaurant. Cozy and inviting family style seating. Family owned and run. Their passion for cooking food from the heart and genuine love for their customers shined. Mamma came and greeted each and every customer and made you feel so special. It was a feel good experience and when we were finished, we left with smiles on our faces saying how much fun we had. Wish every restaurant experience was like this but then again, it wouldn’t make for such a unique and special place. We will return for sure!

One of the best Italian meals I’ve had in a long time! The space is small but cozy. The staff is so so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Their wine pours were generous, and every piece of food we ordered was delicious. If we lived in New Haven, we’d be regulars!

while dining, everything in the world is alright. For that brief hr or so you forget about the world outside and your fed a great home cooked meal. Greated by your Grandmother, end up chatting to strangers as if they are family, end up singing songs and laughing. The son is the cook/ singer, daughter is server and mother is everyone’s Grandmother who goes from table to table chatting and making sure your every need is taken care of. A Very special place and recommend highly.

The carbonara and lemon spaghettis were creamy and perfect. Service was great. We sat in a small nook by the door, people watching the street. Definitely family run, only a few tables. Also could host a bigger group though. Cozy atmosphere. 10/10, will go back
