Quaint little Mexican restaurant, definitely recommend for the food. But they did charge an 18% gratuity on top of our tips and we didn’t know this, only saw this when they gave us our receipt. So just a warning if you are going. Would like to have been told that this was going to by applied to our bill before giving tips.

I was looking for something more authentic than the boring and expensive breakfast that my hotel served and saw that this little place was just over a block away. Don’t let the surroundings dissuade you from entering. The interior is dated, but clean. The breakfast taco choices are all encompassing. I had 2 chorizo and egg tacos. There’s a bottle of green salsa that you pour on for extra flavor. It was so good. The tortilla was fresh off the grill. It was soft and fresh, yet crispy on the edges. I had a hot cup of coffee to go with it. The sights and sounds inside the cafe made it even better. The cashier/ waitress and cook were laughing and checking on their customers. I could hear the cook singing along to the radio. The Bexar county investigator came in and sat at the table next to me. It was a pleasant morning.

Very nice “Tex-Mex” style food! I really enjoy their fresh chicken fajita tacos and crunchy chips; their tortillas are also very tasty. It is a cozy environment overall, but they could do something about how quick they are with service. I am a local, but I would definitely recommend to tourists looking for a taste of San Antonio!

Great neighborhood restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Burrito Grande Plate and my partner ordered the Carne Guisada, both were very delicious. The homemade hot sauce was fantastic. Restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Cannot wait to return.

The breakfast tacos are ok. I love bacon and egg tacos with the slice of bacon but here the bacon is so chopped up I couldnt tell if I was eating bacon or sausage. Bought three tacos and tea to go for $11 dollars. They only gave me one hot sauce. I asked for another one and their rule is 2 tacos to every hot sauce. If you want extra it’s 50 cents. Never going back. I paid 11 dollars for my food and should be given at least 2 hot sauces cause they are very small. Beware.

We were recommended this place. It’s not in with the main Riverwalk restaurants which made it easier to get in and out. It’s also much more affordable. The food was really good especially considering the price. And the family running it was very friendly. Greater with a smile.

We walked past this place and decided it was worth a try – and we were right. It’s not fancy, but the food is excellent. I have eaten at plenty of small restaurants all around the country, and this is the sort of place I like. The tortillas were in house, and the steak was seasoned just right. It’s close to the Wyndham Cascada Resort and worth the walk!
