A local suggested we get breakfast here and I’m very glad we took her suggestion. It is small and easy to miss. It was a memorable experience mostly because of the warmth of our waitress Carol and the owner. It is a real and authentic place. Carol said to bring something back for my wife. She said if she were my wife and I came back from breakfast empty handed she’d bash me over the head with the pot she was using. The grits, sausage, and biscuit we had were terrific. I look forward to my next visit. Put simply it is fun!

Outstanding eatery. Excellent food and service. Wife had a big bowl of the delicious chicken chili (photo); creamy, white beans, halipeanos, chips to dip, or eat it with a spoon. My cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and the fries were tasty. This restaurant is welcoming, the service is excellent, pricing is quite fair, and the facility is very clean (restrooms spotless). It also has a terrific breakfast through dinner menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my Galax friends especially as well as all others who live in the region or who might be passing by the area.

I visited during a rain storm and wanted to wait out the storm and didn’t expect anything more than great food. However, what I got was far better. The hospitality my family and I had experienced made me feel love as if I was with my own family. I was amazed at the level of friendliness and love the staff showed me and my family. Laughter and good time, along with great food, are not in short supply. Fantastic people ,fantastic food, very friendly and interactive with my daughters. I highly recommend eating here. I am planning a return trip to the area just to feel home again. God bless the staff.

This is a great little local place. We had been going for several years and it just recently changed ownership. My nephew and I went yesterday, and it was so good! He had a double bacon burger, which he loved, and he’s particular. I had the small popcorn shrimp platter, very delicious, as good as prior owners. Couldn’t eat it all, 12 bucks.

Absolutely the best Philly cheese steak sub I have ever eaten! My fiance said the seafood was amazing! The hospitality and atmosphere are out of this world…Dana makes you feel just like a family member and makes you feel at home…we will definitely be going back!

We always wanted to stop and finally did. What a great restaurant! It’s a good mix of southern cooking and pub grub. The food was reasonably priced and quite good. The meat is local and has never been frilosen. You can tell the difference. We had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and I found it to be quite delicious. My wife had the Chicken Fried Steak. Both fantastic. The staff was super nice and chatted with us for quite a while. They even enjoyed my bad jokes. If you want a good burger / sub or something to go nice with fried okra, you found the right spot!

This is a great place to grab some food and some peach cobbler that is literally to die for. I got a half pound cheese burger with bacon, my boyfriend got a small shrimp plate and both came fast and were delicious!
