Wanted a refreshing drink while walking the strip and stopped at this place. It is a pizza place but they have other options. The seating is pizza dining style with a couple of booths. The service was good. I ordered the pineapple bowl smoothie with strawberries. It was refreshing and filling. Look at the picture. I was surprised no one asked where I got it from as I walked. They missed out. It was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Ignore any of the negative reviews – my wife and I ate at 3 different pizza places while on vacation in Virginia Beach. Basil is by far and away THE BEST in town. No joke – possibly the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know what they do to make that crust but it is on another level. Tons of flavor, fresh ingredients. I wish I could give it 6/5 stars. I don’t care about the language barrier or the “ambience” in the restaurant itself. The pizza was incredible. You don’t need to read another review – this place is a must if you are in the mood for pizza. Any other pizza in VB will be a poor substitute for Basil.

We have visited Basil twice during my vacation in Virginia Beach. On my first visit, my pizza came in a paper box. However, this time, it was placed in a foam box, which unfortunately got burnt by the hot pizza. We were concerned about chemicals melting into the pizza because the foam box was deformed. Even though I offered to pay for a replacement slice, explaining my concerns, the owner and another staff member suggested I simply request a paper box next time and felt I was being “rude”. I was taken aback, as I was just voicing genuine concerns. Instead of accommodating my request for another slice by paying for this other slice, they offered a refund. Im basically kicked out. 1, I’m left wondering how I could’ve conveyed my feelings without coming across as “rude”? 2,How can I know a pizza shop will provide deformed “foam box” instead of a paper box like the first time I came? 3, Should I request for pizza paper box no matter wherever I go in the future? 4, I was interrupted when I was talking and being told “I am not finished”. If i am RUDE and disrespectful, is this kind and respectful? This was truly a disappointing service experience.

We had this pizza a few times on vacation and it was amazing. We tried different toppings and they were all great. The crust is very small which is perfect. Delicious pizza and some of the best I ever had. I would definitely pick this place over Planet Pizza which we also tried.

This is my first time trying basil Pizza I ordered a large meat lover Pizza with extra cheese the employees was nice but the cost of the pizza that I ordered was like $30 the prices of pizza seem very expensive but inside of the restaurant looks clean and neat and the pizza was good and I might eat there again

The deluxe pizza was awesome!! Made to order. Ingredients were fresh. All beef meats, MUST TRY!! Meats had really good flavor. Crust was perfect, thin but not too thin and not thick. I added some crushed red pepper for extra spice. Ordered to go. This pic is a medium. Definitely large enough for 2 or 3 persons. If you visit VA Beach, give it a try. Dine in is available. Place is small and quaint. Will definitely visit again.

Service was great! And they also offer military discount. However, the pizza could have used a bit more pizza sauce. Wings were great! I got the BBQ mixed with lemon pepper seasoning. Size of the pizza for a large was pretty huge

Guy working the counter did not have a good command of the English language. A lot of trouble communicating. We wanted a cold sub but we’re told “ no subs and fountain soda was not working ( or so we were told). Prices are not correct online. We ordered a calzone to split. It was mediocre at best. All in all pretty unsatisfactory. Would not recommend.
