The food was AWESOME! We had the fried artichoke hearts, the Asian ribs, and the wings. The ribs were super flavorful and simultaneously crispy and tender, which is hard to pull off. The slaw that came with the ribs was a nice complement. The artichoke hearts were super yummy and is something I don’t recall seeing on a menu before. The mild buffalo sauce on the wings was very flavorful. The live music was a great surprise and the overall vibe was really cool. Very family friendly environment. I can see how the food ordering process could be confusing if you weren’t seated at the bar. I also loved that they had several N/A options, including two Kombuchas on draft which is important to me since I don’t drink alcohol. FYI, while there are a couple of TVs, they weren’t playing sports, but rather surfing videos, so if you’re looking for a sports bar vibe, this isn’t it. Overall, I would say this is an awesome little hidden gem.

No phone number and no one responds to Facebook Messenger. Atmosphere is nice with many seating areas outside on deck and on grass. Seat yourself and order food and drink from the bar. They give you a customer marker to bring back to your seat if you order food and bring it out when it is ready. Dogs welcome. Corn hole.

I love the concept of this place and there were lots of different types of people, of all ages. The food was pretty good, drinks were fine, but the music was awful! We are not locals and it was our first visit, we wanted something to do the evening before we moved one of our kids back to UNCW, so not sure what the typical band is like… but this was just plain screaming, not our thing! We left as it gave us a headache!

Tonight was our first night trying Dram Tree Tavern and it did not disappoint. We came to see our favorite band the “Polar Bear Band. I did my research online to know that I had to order at the bar. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender who took our order and explained to us how our food would be brought to us. We did not have any issues finding a picnic table to sit at. I got the Korean short ribs with Asian slaw and my 5-year-old got the vegan corn dog with fries. (Personal preference the Asian slaw was more salty than sweet, would have loved for it to be a little sweeter) Our food was very good and tasty. There was plenty of space on the grass lawn for my 5-year-old to run around. The stage for the band is nice and you can hear the band from anywhere inside or out. The inside of the tavern was very nice and had adequate sitting and a very comfortable couch area. We will definitely be back! Overall we had a great first experience.

Another new place in Wilmington to check out. @dramtreetavern great food, inside and outdoor bar. Korean ribs were fall off the bone delicious. The cheer wine marinated chicken sandwich was full of toppings and flavor. Dram tree has a big history in Wilmington and this place is worth the stop. Plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around. A lot of seating inside and out. Local beer selection and nicely priced cocktails.

One hard working bartender with lots of customers. Why only one? ESP at dinner time on a concert night. Then a very RUDE manager/owner? Told me he was glad to see me leave. Maybe HE should’ve been working Va drinking and being a jerk. If you’re going to run a bar and restaurant it pays to be nice to the PAYING customers.
