I have been coming here since 2011 – that says it all. This place is like stepping into Italy from the first bite. Lino elevates Italian cuisine, staying true to his roots; his restaurant is phenomenal. The Cavatelli Conversanase is one of my favorites, and I’ve never had anything like it anywhere else. Honestly, I’ve worked my way through his entire menu – it is all impeccable from start to finish; there are also daily specials using the freshest ingredients. Lino is a true culinary talent and is also just the sweetest person – he often comes out to greet diners whether it’s their first time or thousandth time. The service is also always excellent – waiters are always very professional and attentive. I can’t say enough about La Nonna Bella – I’m addicted. Try it and you will be too.

We randomly chose to try this restaurant and I loved it. The food and atmosphere were excellent. We had the chicken parm and the rigatoni and some chocolate desert, all of which were really excellent. It had a very authentic Italian atmosphere.

I took a seat in the upstairs dining room. There were eight tables, and everyone was evenly spaced. The service was excellent, and the waiters’ specials were very appealing.

Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere was a bit noisy for me, but was likely my tinnitus 🙂 Recommending the Cesar Salad (w/anchovies +$6) and gnocchi with oil and garlic, which will not break the bank.

La Nonna Bella is like taking a trip to Europe and experiencing the fine dining of Italy, right in the comfort of Long Island. I came in to try out chef tasting meal and was absolutely blown away! The portions and variety that you receive are astonishing…I am still dreaming about it! As a note: The restaurant allows only 2-hour dining, however, they make sure your mealtime (even the large chef tasting) fits inside the 2-hour time limit. Incredible!

It must have been an off night because everyone in our party thought the food was just okay. Pasta was way undercooked, almost raw. Extremely noisy. Will have to give it another try.

First time here. The food was definitely overpriced for the quality. Had a negative experience when a spaghetti dish I ordered took a while to come out & it was very obviously undercooked. When I tried discussing this with the waiter, he refused to acknowledge that it was undercooked. He began to mansplain to me what spaghetti is, what al dente means, how fettuccine is a softer pasta than spaghetti, how they serve the spaghetti more al dente than the other pasta, ? etc. basically gaslighting me & speaking to me as if I’m a clueless idiot that’s never eaten or cooked pasta before. it was ridiculous. The spaghetti was stiff & very chewy. It wouldn’t even bend when I picked it up with the fork. I asked my friend dining with me to try it as well & they agreed it’s not al dente it’s undercooked. It just ruined the whole mood & it was unnecessary. I chose not to leave gratuity because the way this was handled was rude & unnecessary. definitely won’t be dining there again.
