We arrived to find only a couple of tables with customers seated, yet had to wait to be seated. The one waitress told us there are menus, but the hot bar is ready to go. The hot bar had few selections that were barely visible due to clouded Plexi glass shields. We asked for a drink but the bar server said to tell the waitress. We then sat at our table, ate our meat and 3 meal that was fairly mediocre, and we were never visited by the waitress. We lined up at the cash register to pay our bill which was incorrect. The floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in a while and the walls by our table had some dried food remnants. We were there Saturday, June 10, 2023 and will not be back. This can’t be the way a restaurant runs and still manage to stay open.

Great staff and delicious food, has a quick walk up food counter “buffet” and a full menu for sit down options. Really cool old 1890 house with historic photos and decor. Really nice spot for a comfortable sit down

We went there on July 8 2023. With my wife and kids. We were there about an hour and 15 minutes before closing. I have worked the food industry anything less than 40 min before closing, and I will not go. The waiter came and got our drink order, then took 20 minutes to bring our drinks, then walked away, and came back ten minutes later to take our food order. During which time we noticed the walls were dirty not just old house dirty but food from past guest dirty and the floors looked un vacuumed and the ruggs looked like they had not been cleaned since the house was built. It was a real disappointment because my wife loves old house restaurant’s this was by far the worst. We ended up not ordering and walked out. We will not be back.

Very good experience, beautiful rustic house turned into a family style restaurant. Pick a meat and pick your vegetables. The hamburger steak was extremely juicy and the real mashed potatoes had the right amount of seasoning. Lastly the strawberry butter was crazy delicious.

Creepy old beautiful house restaurant! I stopped here on a whim. Eat outside or inside in your choice of several old rooms. The food is all home made Southern and good lord I ate until I was sick. The waitresses are so kind and will tell you the stories of hauntings in the house if you ask!

Good Southern cooking. Our server was great, however the rest of the staff didn’t seem as welcoming. The “wear and tear” really shows unfortunately, as we noticed one of our chairs and a high chair we requested looked like they were falling apart, (screws weren’t fastened) so my wife sat our kid on her lap the entire meal.
