We stopped here for lunch and what a great find! Friendly staff and delicious food. We sat outside and interacted with a lot of locals who come in to eat. Food was fresh and flavorful. Loved their conch soup and swordfish was local-caught and grilled to perfection. Would absolutely come back!

If you want fresh seafood this is the place to go. Asked several locals and this is where they told us to come. Food is fresh and cooked to order. The plate was full, took the pic after I had eaten some. You must try the homemade key lime pie. It was better than the one we had in Key West.

Amazing! Small restaurant on #1 in Marathon. The food was so fresh and not “fishy” at all. They have an amazing selection of beef, sausages, and various kinds of seafood. The waitstaff was amazing. We figured out our waitress was from close to where my husband grew up as a child. The prices are really great. 2 dinners of and 2 beers was about 50 dollars. I had the fried shrimp with slaw and steamed green beans. He had the blackened Mahi with fries and slaw. The Mahi was flaky but moist and the shrimp were done to perfection and not dry. Both were amazing!

Unexpected pleasure! Went to the market for some fresh fish. Was met with good conversation and delicious food at the local spot. The snapper and green tomatoes was outstanding. Clam chowder had a touch of lemon that made it something incredible. Hogfish sandwich was wonderful with the mashes potatoes. So glad we stopped in looking forward to dining here again!

I am not much of seafood person so when I see other food options like this place offered I will make it a point to stop and try it. Very good food. The lasagna tasted from scratch and the bread was delicious. Husband tried conch for first time said it was different not a fan. And we had their key lime pie for the 1st time. Not a fan, the taste is a big thing for me. I tried it at least. More room for those who do enjoy it! Would stop in again.

Best food in the keys, service is always good and you really get that home cooked feel in the food and atmosphere. Fish tales is my happy place.

Let me begin by saying, we have not tried the food there (yet). THIS REVIEW IS ONLY ABOUT THE KEY LIME PIE. We just came for the dessert since we ate already. And in general, we wanted to experience them at every restaurant since it is a big part of the culture in the keys. We got 2 to go. They were frozen and we were told it needed to thaw. Upon first impressions, it didn’t hold its shape and didn’t look clean/fancy. I can move past that. Taste matters more. As it thawed, the shape looked like it was going to melt. The ingredients certainly didn’t hold.. almost more soft and liquified. The slurp kind. Taste wise, it was not up our alley. The cream cheese and bitterness from the key lime zest was very strong!!! Those are the 2 strong components in e v e r y bite. The crust was okay. I wish it had more personality and bit more of a hold too. We bought 2 slices so the others whom we also brought the pie for thought the same. Other reviewers on Google expressed they really like the pie, but in our most humble opinion, we couldn’t say the same. 2 stars for the pie. 3 stars overall because maybe the food is good and I want to be fair to the restaurant for trying? Will try the food next time and give a review for that then.

We came for the fresh fish & awesome menu options which did not disappoint, but the show stopper was the CHEESECAKE! We got the colossal which was a literal double decker of the best cheesecake we have ever had. Mine was topped with cherry but there were several choices!! my husband got the turtle cheesecake, which was nothing less than decadence on a plate too . Our Tummy’s were dangerously happy … good thing we were at the END of our holiday & bathing suit bodies were not a priority!

Excellent food and drink options. Large portions. We had the Red Snapper BLT special and Mahi Mahi blackened sandwich. New potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and red beans and rice were very, very tasty. This has been added to our ‘must visit’ restaurants. Nice diner feel. Do note that the restaurant isn’t open on Saturday and Sunday. Very friendly staff too.
