I am always searching for good food and found my breakfast spot on 421 at Southern Gal. The food is very good and cooked to order. They offer Turkey Sausage Patties as an non pork alternative. Real cracked egg, not the carton, and fresh toast. I see all the great reviews for the French Toast, so I must give it a try. The staff is exceptional, super nice and customer oriented. Not only do they serve breakfast but they serve lunch, as well.

I do not think there are enough words to tell you how great this place is. Located in the little town of Burnettown, South Carolina “The Valley”, is this incredible hidden gem. We stopped in for breakfast and it did not disappoint. My husband had shrimp and grits. They were cooked perfectly. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of the Louisiana hot sausage. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried beautifully, the sausage was on point and the waffle was covered in fresh berries and whipped cream. However, the star of this dining experience was the biscuits and gravy. This dish was loaded with sausage in every bite on top of fresh fluffy biscuits.

The food is always delicious, however, the service is what continues to bring me back! I absolutely love Darolyn!! She has always been so warm and welcome since my very first visit. Literally the sweetest soul I will forever return just to see her smiling face and of course to get my chicken wings! Chef Dee makes her food with love and Darolyn most certainly makes the experience over the top. If you want to be a valued customer then you should definitely drop in and check these wonderful ladies out!!

This is a charming little southern breakfast place that serves some of the most delicious New Orleans style breakfast food – only, keep in mind that this is not somewhere to go if you’re trying to watch your caloric intake! My breakfast was easily a full day’s worth and I by no means ordered the largest thing I could have gotten! The side of French Toast consisted of 3 slices of brioche, each an inch thick, coated with a slightly Irish cream flavored egg batter and very lightly fried, so that the outside was ever so slightly crispy and the rest light, chewy, soft, and delicious. These were topped with whipped cream and served with a side of berries. In addition, the cook sent out some extra turkey sausage that was accidentally cooked, so I received two patties of turkey saugage as well! Very enjoyable, delicious, and rich. I took half of my order home with me and ate it later. And that was only a side! My husband got the meal and it came with deep fried breakfast potatoes, which were lightly seasoned and amazingly crispy, scrambled eggs, for which we were told the cook is famous (and I see why) and coffee. Definitely will go again, but like I said, prepare for a whole days worth of calories in your amazing delicious food!

I finally made it by there to try their brunch. I was not disappointed! Everything was delicious. My mom enjoyed her food, too. The next time that I go, I’ll have to take the time to take photos. The bacon was thick, the French toast was perfect, and the wings were well seasoned. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. I’ll have to make this one of my regular places to visit. This is a jewel in the Valley!

Amazing food. Great people. Couldn’t have picked a better place for my birthday dinner. Can’t wait to go back. Everything was great. I had french toast and scrambled cheese eggs with wings. Plus a side of green tomatoes. Well worth the drive from Aiken or North Augusta. Highly recommend. They said they cater too!
