My experience was absolutely amazing! The decor and atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The staff was very welcoming and super helpful! I have one thing to say about the food…..OMG!!!!! Everything was amazing, especially the Mac and Cheese (which really took me back to my childhood days)! I thought the Strawberry Lemonade was going to be super sweet, which is what I am used to. However I was quite shocked, and in a good way! It was so fresh and had natural sweetness not sugary sweetness! I have been to many soul food restaurants. This, by far, is the best restaurant I have been too in a long time!! I highly recommend dining at this well managed establishment!! You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back!!

Tried this place for the first time a few months ago. Ordered through the Black and Mobile app. Took a little longer than expected but it was also a busy time. Overall, the food was good. I got the weekend special of Fried Shrimp platter which came with Fries, and I added a side of Yams and Mac&Cheese to it. Feeling the shrimp could’ve been fried a little harder or something (the batter was kind of falling apart), but they were good size pieces of shrimp and it was tasty/well seasoned.

This place is a hidden gem. I must say I’ve overlooked this beautiful establishment. The best soulfood restaurant in South Philly. Very friendly staff, And the owner is absolutely the best an very uplifting. The food is not pricey and very good. Husky size platters. Drinks are good. Great environment.

So I had a big craving for soul food and been meaning to check this place out. The waitress very was pleasant. The fish was a little bland to me no real crunch or taste . The Mac and cheese was better with a little salt and pepper . The staff was having inappropriate conversations while I was dining. Which also changed my experience.

I ordered the turkey wing (served over rice), mac & cheese and yams. The food came fast, quick service. The turkey wing was okay, not great but not bad. I didn’t like the mac & cheese or rice at all. The yams were pretty good. I’m glad I gave this place a chance and hopefully my feedback will be useful in making improvements.

So glad I finally tried this place. Ordered delivery and food arrived hot and fresh! (Shout out to the professional bike delivery dude!) got the wings platter in their crack sauce with mac&cheese and greens… those wings and that sauce are DELISH! Must try on everything… the greens were just the right blend of heat, vinegar, and bitter. The mac & cheese was good. For dessert got the cookies and banana pudding… SO GOOD! Will splurge for the red velvet cake next time… and there will definitely be a next time! Thanks for the great food!
