This was my first time having Ethiopian food and I was very impressed! We did two of the combo meals to share between 2 people! There were plenty of leftovers! The food was extremely flavorful and well prepared! We will definitely return! I also noticed they do DoorDash we will probably do that as well! We took our own wine because it is a byob!!

Absolutely incredible food. I’ve never gotten to try Ethiopian food before and so glad I finally got the chance. Everything tasted great and the special Ethiopian coffee was phenomenal. I’ve never had coffee so smooth and flavorful. I’ll definitely be thinking about this place for a long time.

Love love love this spot. This is our second time visiting and, as always, it did not disappoint. We got the vegetarian combo and special blend of beans, and let me tell you- the special blend of beans is OUT OF THIS WORLD. They’re buttery, meaty (tasting no meat in them- I don’t think), and so hearty. This is the best place to go when it’s cold and wet! The food is yummy and warming, the atmosphere is beautiful and calming, and the people are so warm and kind. Nothing is too spicy either! Just perfect.

My experience is the same as all the other good reviews here. Excellent food. Great atmosphere. I went on a Friday night. The owner ran the front of house (and maybe back), and he was always available and welcoming. I never felt like there was a wait for anything we asked for. As someone that has run a restaurant, the service really is incredible. Whereas many restaurants would rush their last table out the door, he let us chat for another round of water. Very much appreciated.

Always enjoy this place when in Lancaster. Have come here once or twice a year since 2015. Owners/staff always lovely as well. Really feels like they’re just cooking for you! (since not usually very busy). Makes me so happy places like this exist. 🙂

My family and I ate here last night, it was wonderful, what a beautiful establishment! The food was amazing and we all really enjoyed eating it together. My kids loved it as well! The special $10 coffee is worth it just to watch the brewing process… everything about this place is so unique. What a lovely dining experience we will definitely be returning soon! Thank you!

I was passing through Lancaster and stopped to pick up Ethiopian food from Awash (take out—I did not dine in). Spectacular! I ordered the vegetarian combo entree and the Ymstr Wat entree. Both were fabulous. I must find a reason to go back to Lancaster—or maybe Awash is reason enough!

First time having Ethiopian food and it will definitely not be the last. Delicious food with lots of flavor! They serve it family style which adds to the experience. The Beef Tibbs was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend! The server was so nice and the place was beautifully decorated
