One of the few Made-in-Altoona restaurants, and it hasn’t changed much over the years. Great place to grab a quick hot dog, and the minced-beef sauce is always my go-to topping! They have some fairly decent sides like fries, fried mushrooms, and cheese balls. Quite affordable, and the employees are efficient and friendly. If you don’t feel like eating inside, there are a few picnic tables under a covered patio.

My husband and I picked up chili cheese hot dogs, fries, and mac & cheese for lunch. Where do I begin? Every single thing was undercooked. To top it off, the chili was gross and tasted like canned minced meat seasoned with taco seasoning?? Very disappointed

Not a bad place to grab a quick bite to eat. The place has been serving hungry patrons for over 100 years, which makes eating here just as much a participation in history as it does a filling of the tank. The staff is experienced and can put together hotdogs faster than you would expect. The food is on the saltier side, so if you are sodium conscious customer be mindful. All in all, it is a good place with lots of history, and certainly worth a try.

Was here on March 19, 2023 on Sunday and was very disappointed with quality of the food…got 2 hot dogs with everything and extra onions, a large Texas macaroni with sauce, hot pepper cheese ball and drink .

Food is terrible, service is bad, floors are not swept. Fries are dried out and the hot dogs taste like they were soaked in water and not cooked fully, the soda was the only good thing

Texas Hot Dogs are top notch. I ordered two chilli dogs and the Texas style Mac n cheese. The chilli on the Mac n cheese was the right touch. Get there before the noon rush. Employees are nice and patient. Only thing I’d suggest is having a soda machine available to customers for free refills. If free refills exist, I wasn’t aware. Great place!
