Used to go to the food truck in South Austin. We were always VERY PLEASED with the food. Elevated and with complex flavors and tastes that I label it Gourmet Tex Mex food. Prices to customers are getting outrageous for ALL RESTAURANTS but for the amount of food you get and the quality, Valentina’s is worth it from time to time. Now, its not to say that there isn’t room for improvements like, from the time you get in line to the time it takes to get your food. Why does it take an hour to 2 hours to get your food order when the meat and sides have already been cooked and prepared? We went to the brick and mortar restaurant in Buda and we stood in line for over 2 hours at 4pm. I get it, but I can see there is a problem with their process and desperately needs to be fixed. Are they still cooking everything in a food truck? Their food is GREAT, but they do tend to run out of some of the meats. If you don’t mind the long lines and potentially miss out on a food item that you have been craving, then you will fit right in. For us, this place is a “bring family or friends from out of town,” type of place. Valentina’s is a rare occasion visit for us.

The bar is full service which means you can order your meal there and skip the long line. The wait in line was about one hour but it’s indoors so you can avoid the heat. They bring the food to your table which adds another 15-20 min. I suggest an appetizer to eat while you wait. Now the food is amazing. The brisket is tender and flavorful. The tortillas are better than getting plain bread.

We went Sunday afternoon around 1pm & waited in line to order at the counter for about 15 minutes. We wanted to try a variety of food, but they were out of several things we wanted to order. However, everything we ate was really good. It was really busy & we had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table, but at least we did before our food arrived. Great service & food, so we’ll be back. They also have a large full service bar.

We absolutely loved the food and atmosphere at Valentina’s! Those tortillas, though!!! Yum!!!! The salsa on the tacos was delicious and spicy! We would definitely come again. Service to order was on the slow side, but once we ordered, we received our food quickly.

Waited in line to place order in cool, shady area, placed order, received a table reservation number/stick and food brought to our table. Many seats available in protected outdoor tables (good for a rainy day but our day wasnt…just glad they provided a large seating area. The place is very popular with people coming and going after eating their good food!

10/10 brisket tacos. I respect that the tacos were merely a vehicle for the awesome brisket. There was an incredibly generous amount of brisket on the fluffy homemade tortilla that itself felt super fresh. It had the right amount of seasoning, and the addition of the cold and tangy salsa made it perfect, especially given how hot it was outside. The brisket used was top notch too. Not too lean, not too fatty.
