We stopped in between tours to grab a pizza. We called ahead and it was hot and ready. We got a large pepperoni pizza and it was delicious!!! The pastas looked amazing too. We will definitely come back to try more next time:)

Really like this little spot… Pizza was fabulous, especially the crust and salad was unique and fantastic! Located right downtown so easy access among all the cute little shops in Bardstown.

Delicious food! They are understaffed, but the waitresses tried their best to keep up. Our Caesar Salad and bread were fabulous. Our pasta was one of the best that I have had in a restaurant. Don’t be fooled by the humble surroundings, this place is a real gem.

Excellent, helpful service. Nice, indoor ambiance. Pizza left me wanting toppings and less salt. Not sure what the fatty/gristly meat was on the Hot Brown pizza, but that was left on the plate.

On 7-22-22, we visited Bardstown, KY and decided to eat at Cafe Primo. Everything on the menu is a Le carte. We were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. When the waitress returned with our water, we ordered our meals. We ordered 1 glass of wine, 1 ensalata roma ceasar salad, 1 spaghetti with meat sauce, and 1 pasta Romano. (angel hair pasta with spinach, ham, and shrimp in a cream sauce) While the food was very good, the service was mediocre at best. They forgot to bring the wine and it took 49 minutes to finally get our entrées. We never even received refills during our visit. It is a casual atmosphere that is extremely loud. We could not even hear one another talk. Our bill was $54.54 not including tip and we felt it was too expensive for what you get. We do not plan to return.

Absolutely the best pasta Romano I’ve ever had. All eight of us at the table couldn’t believe how good the food was. My wife says I’m too picky and never really happy when I eat out. This was worth every penny. Only down side was that it took a long time to get the food, and we were getting aggravated. However, after tasting the food, it was all smiles. Don’t miss this place when in Bardstown!

We walked here from our BnB for a very casual, grab a pie kind of dinner. The dining room was full, but we got a table outside. Some would take off a star because the waitresses were busy, but I’m not. We got a margherita pizza and Pinot. The pizza crust was perfect, crispy outside, soft/chewy inside. Sauce had great flavor. Very authentic! I would definitely get another pizza here the next time I’m in town.

Super good pasta! Such a good sauce. The sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and grilled chicken hit the spot. The waitresses were sweet and brought us lots of refills.

We were headed to a different restaurant but stopped in here because the pizza smelled so good. We were seated right away. The waitress answered all of our questions. The acoustics aren’t that great and it was pretty loud, just other customers talking. They could maybe use some sound dampening panels. Overall we will definitely visit again.
