My husband and I went to Mezze 5/25/23 in the early evening. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and we were quickly seated on the patio. We ordered hummus and pita along with wine. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The pita was prepared with some oil and garlic and was a bit chewy. We ordered the chicken tagine to share. It was served in a traditional tagine dish. It was delicious and very shareable. What we especially liked about the tagine is that not only was it very tasty, it was also a light entree. We decided to share the limoncello cake which was lemony and not overly sweet.

We enjoyed our food and our waiter was very kind and friendly. I think the place is also nice and cozy. Definitely try their ravioli! We tried the Lobster ravioli and it was great! Their grilled chicken kabob was so delicious, too. I think the prices are reasonable and if you are looking for a good meal during your shopping, Mezzet can be a good choice.

This place changed ownership and the dynamics have changed. Regular bartender is gone, as well as regulars I used to see. Subtle changes in quality of food as well. I hope the change is for the good. I’ll come back in 6 months. Going back to Capital Grill.

I would put zero stars if I could. Terrible service, terrible food, overpriced. My husband is a garbage disposal that never leaves food on the table and he left almost the whole pizza. It was definitely a frozen pizza purchased for $1 that they are trying to pass as restaurant food. All our meals came out at different times. This is the worst meal I have had in a long time, maybe ever. Do not eat here.

Horrible service, food is not good, the chicken was chewy and food was cold. The kafta kabab was burned out and so dry. Very bad experience. The waitress had very bad attitude. When I asked bring the check with very bad attitude she threw the check book. If I could give 0 start I would. Not recommend it.

Their pizza and their chicken kabobs are delicious. It’s on the 1st level of the Costa Mesa mall. I didn’t think it was gonna be as good as it is but we go here at least once a month because we really enjoy their food. We’ve also had their pesto and salads absolutely great food.
