The food was pretty good. The queso was a bigger hit than the guacamole. The enchiladas were the best overall. We got all our food to go. It was super nice that they included silverware and napkins without me asking. They took a bit to have it ready. I do like that they do alcohol to go at a affordable price. The place was pretty packed so it was hard to find parking.

Viola’s Ventanas is only 7 minutes from SeaWorld San Antonio, and is located on a large, beautiful plot of land that’s covered with mature trees. The outdoor patio is massive, and there’s even a smaller kitchen on the patio for faster appetizer and drink service.

Great ambiance at this restaurant! You can choose to eat inside or outside. It is pricey($15+), but it also has plates for a reasonable price($7+). Food is good. Kids can enjoy playing at the huge playground area that the restaurant has outside. However, we didn’t give a five star because they don’t have hot chocolate, oatmeal, nor fresh lemonade. Also, there is a part of the playground that has not been fixed since the first time we went, on September 2022. Other than that, this restaurant is enormous and spacious. An awesome place to dine and chat with friends or family time.

For years, I wanted to eat at this restaurant. So, for mother’s day I ordered takeout by phone, arrived 30 minutes later to discover order wasn’t submitted/started. So, I drank a beer at bar, waited another 30+ minutes for 3 entrees (Traditional, Las Ventana, the third I can’t recall, chips salsa, pico and extra guacamole. I drove 15 minutes to my dinner location…Chips n condiments were good, I’d have to say the entrees were already cold, soggy, and disappointing. I’d be hard pressed to visit Violas again.

Even though we made reservations for this place we still had to wait around 25-30 minutes. And as we were seated we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to be given our drinks. Then an additional 40 for food. The place does look nice but from our experience it was masking their bad service and bad food. Let’s start with the service, right off the bat there was a severe lack of staff. Only one server covering 4 tables. So everything took some time. As for the food. There was a severe lack of taste and quality in the food. Nothing felt seasoned and everything felt as if was microwaved or bathed in oil. Taco Bell had more authentic Mexican food than here.

First of all Daniella was our waitress and she did an amazing job assisting us. Second the food we ordered was very good. Third the atmosphere was warm and friendly even though we were sitting outside and it was chilly. And finally we all had a great time. We’re definitely going back soon.
