Food was delicious and fast. Service was beyond excellent. I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience and can’t wait to visit again.

Good atmosphere, clean, our waitress was phenomenal and had a great personality (would come back just for her service, think her name was Maria, don’t quote me on that tho), food was good

The El Nopal Mexican Restaurant in Palmyra, Missouri has good food and relatively decent service. However, this rating is lower than it could have been due to the lack of staff on a Saturday in the late afternoon. It was 4p and there appeared to be only one employee seating folks. The gentleman did not make eye contact, nor speak, he just tossed three menus on the table and walked away. I can understand being busy and short staffed however if this is the type of interaction they feel is adequate, or lack thereof, this will not keep the guests coming for the good food. I don’t intend to be back until I hear service has improved.

I don’t usually review, or like Mexican much for that matter but this place is top notch. Prices=not bad. Food=Great. Service= Amazing. Got the Carne asada and my fiance got nachos with an add on and even with a good tip it was under $50. Definitely going again

The food was very good and authentic, especially considering the location (northern Missouri). I had the Supreme enchiladas which is 4 enchiladas (ground beef, bean, chicken, cheese) with extra sour cream, plus a blueberry Margarita (excellent). The chips and salsa were OK. I’ve had better, but I’ve had worse. The only downside was the service. It was very indifferent. Not very good, but not really bad. I’ll likely be back if I’m in the area.

Excellent tacos especially the Al Pastor. They offer two options – authentic with cilantro and onions or American-ized with shredded cheese. I like the authentic style. The El Nopal burrito is gigantic and very delicious! Service was quick and extremely attentive. Marisol took great care of us. I highly recommend!

My husband and I go to restaurant, love the food. Always prompt and friendly service. We’ve personally never had to wait for a table or wait for an extended time for service or food.. it’s always let’s go to El Nopal to eat. You always leave with a full stomach and a smile.

First impression when walking in… it’s so cute and decorated beautifully. Service was good but the food was so bland. The chicken had no seasoning, the rice was bland and the cheese sauce was just plain white cheese sauce… no peppers or seasoning… for it being one of the more expensive Mexican restaurants in the area I expected the food to taste better.

I’m a truck driver and this is my regular route. I love Mexican food and saw the restaurant and wanted to try them out, so I decided to come in today. The restaurant was nice. I went in after noon so it was very quiet. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito. I was very disappointed with it, because the chicken was dry and there was very little on the buritto. The bell peppers weren’t cooked til they were tender. My food was lukewarm. I like my food hot. On the otherhand, the service was great!
