I Had a wonderful dinner here Sunday night early August 2023. I had the chicken arribiata, a glass of their house. Red blend wine and a dinner salad with dinner. The soft piano jazz playing in the background was perfect. My server was very attentive. I recommend this to you if you want a wonderful dinner whether you’re alone or with a companion. Prices went from about $16 for sandwiches up to I think that the tropical salmon entree was $30, the halibut a bit more. Mine was 22, The glass of wine was seven bucks. All in all, a really good price for the quality of the food atmosphere and service.

The steak was perfect, pan-seared with thyme, butter, and garlic. Broccoli was a little crunchy but could be raw for all I care as the steak was so good. Ravioli was all homemade for sure. Great meal in Ely Nevada.

The food was fantastic!! The only reason I gave them a 3 for service is they only had one waiter for a huge room. The waiter himself was overwhelmed. I’m sure, with proper coverage, the service would have been as spectacular as the food and atmosphere. (The busser cleared every plate as soon as you put down your silverware.)

I didn’t expect to find a nice Italian restaurant in Ely Nevada but this place was. The Shrimp Scampi was amazing. The drinks were pleasantly strong. The Cheesecake for desert was alright and I only say that because it came with a side of preserves. As for presentation that was a bit awkward. Food was great otherwise.

We were passing through and stayed the night. Arrived late and scrambled to find a decent place to eat. Dropped in to Mr G’s and was so happy we did, greeted us in a timely fashion , atmosphere and music was such a nice relaxing experience, we had a house salad plenty enough to share and house Italian dressing was great, ordered a pizza 16” shared it and had 1/2 leftover for traveling today. Waitress waited on us was quite efficient and very pleasant. Such a relaxing and pleasant experience! Thank you!!! Highly recommend!!!

Ordered takeout thru their website that used the slice app. On the way to pick it up I got a message that they don’t take online orders and mine was cancelled. Since we were only a couple blocks away we stopped in and were able to place an order. A 14” cheese pizza and an order of calamari. The barmaid said 15 to 20 minutes to get the order. I get back in 20 minutes and no order yet, barmaid looks like she’s checking on the order but never updates me. After 45 minutes I get the order finally, barmaid never even asked if I wanted a water. The order was $10 more than the online order with a 2.50 takeout fee. The calamari order which was $15 has the toughest pieces of calamari with only 8 pieces and a slice of lemon in a box the size of a Mac Donald hamburger box. Really? On top of that the pizza was burnt. I was the only person in the restaurant at the time and they couldn’t get the order right. Almost $40 for a pizza and appetizer.

This restaurant is something spectacular here in Ely, NV. The only restaurant you will come across that can qualify as fine dining. Serving Italian dishes, different types of wine and an atmosphere you won’t want to leave.

This would be a place to visit if all you have is time, & you like luke warm frozen food. Empty drinks, a door bell above your head, & no plate to set pizza on & eat from. My husband & I drove from out of town, to experience this. We were greeted and sat down quickly. There we sat. Noone came to greet or take even a drink order for 25 minutes. Once we were finally acknowledged & greeted by our waiter, a drink order was taken, along with a couple of appetizers to start, & dinner order placed. The cheeze sticks were mushy & clearly frozen, then heated. The chicken wings, altho cooked, were cold on the inside. An hour later, the waiter came over (drinks were empty by this point) & stated ‘your Lasagna should be coming right up’. We never ordered Lasagna…waiter then comes out with the right order. Forgetting a dinner salad that was included with one meal, & no plates for the Pizza. Never saw the waiter again, till he handed over the check. We will NEVER go back. Was not worth the drive or the amount of money we shelled out for the bad experience. It seems to be a restaurant, that is all over the place.
