I hate to be critical here, especially since I used to really like Du’s. It’s probably been more than 10 years since my last visit. It no longer tastes Asian to me. The spicy chicken red sauce tasted like something you get at a Texas BBQ joint, but not a very good one. The chicken was dry as a bone. The salad dressing didn’t have that sweetness element to it that I remembered. The spicy sauce really killed the dish for me because of the acidic flavor. I really love spice and I like sauce, but the taste of this sauce did not appear to be authentically Korean.

Great teriyaki with huge portions! I got the pork and chicken. The pork was amazing, the chicken was good but a little dry. The salad dressing was so good! I’m just a little annoyed at having to pay for extra sauce and dressing in teeny little 1oz containers when you get it to go because if you sit inside you can use as much as you want. But they are only 25 cents so it’s not a lot. It’s busy and wait times are long but it’s good.

This place is still the best. The spicy chicken was great, I saw a couple reviews saying it didn’t taste authentically Korean which I didn’t experience at all. Gochujang was the primary flavor in the sauce which is about as Korean as it gets.

I had been going here for 20 years but hadn’t been back in a few years. I could smell that marinade from a block away! Soooo good.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant since I was old enough to chew my own food. A true Portland staple. I Got the opportunity to check in on my top 10 Portland restaurants during my trip home Portland recently. Du’s Grill. I was overwhelmed with memories of highschool lunch trips to this wonderful eatery. I got to bring a friend for their first time too. She was so delighted with the portion size and the sauces. always a pleasure DU’s till we meet again. (You know I bought a teriyaki sauce and a salad dressing to go)

For some of the best food on the East side of Portland, Du’s is a must try. Very fast and friendly for on the go lunch or dinner. The chicken and pork will melt on your mouth and easy on the budget. If you haven’t tried Du’s yet, you better swing on by. After that you’ll keep coming back for more.

This business has been around a long time I remember when it was a Dairy Queen. The family who i remember owned it last is gone it seems? The food is always so much food and such great flavors

Everyone knows that you get Du’s to go. Pop in for lunch and this joint is off the heezy!! So good, though. Best teriyaki style place, in town, hands down.
