Here is my local guide’s honest review. Dinos is my favorite pizza in town. I love the Lawn and they are generous with the veggies. Pictured here is the Be Conscious but since I am vegetarian I removed the chicken and added peppers. The bbq sauce base is amazing and goes well with the pineapple and grilled onions. Dinos crust is pillowy and tasty. The sauce is perfect too. I never have to wait long for my made to order pizza.

The pizza is good. It is cooked fresh in the wood fire oven and comes out absolutely perfect. The crust is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I got pepperoni personal pizza 10” – I also got the spicy honey on top which I definitely recommend. It’s a bit too small for 2 people to share it but should be good for one person. Let the pizza cool before you dig in, otherwise the cheese will fall off the pizza. Other than that, very good quality pizza. I will return and recommend for others to try it – just try ordering ahead to avoid the 15-20 min wait.

I’ve loved all the pepperoni pizzas and slices I’ve gotten from Dino’s. However, when I branched out to order The Queen for takeout recently, I was disappointed at the lack of prosciutto and tomatoes on the pie – I think there might’ve only been 5-6 pieces of prosciutto. Also, there wasn’t enough pesto and cheese on the pie, so it mostly felt like eating (tasty) bread with some toppings. Hoping my next one has a better helping of toppings.

Shared a white pizza with fresh mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, and garlic. Was still steaming hot in box with a short walk back to our courtyard seating.

I have tried a couple of their pizzas and they are all very tasty. The turnover time was surprisingly fast. And the quality of the pizza is usually pretty good. One out of the three times I ordered here, my pizza was a little burnt.

It’s one of the best pizzas in Charlottesville, coming from a new Yorkers. I’m the kind of person who, when trying out a new pizzeria, I first try a plain slice first. Now I know it. If I had ten thumbs, it would be 10 thumbs up. Molto bene!

I come back to edit my review. The pizza had a good flavor. I asked for extra sauce. I was sent an extra ranch instead of getting extra sauce on the pizza. I accept the mistake and appreciate the extra sauce.

Convenient location with outdoor seating. Pizza was a bit pricey for as simple as it is. Solid choice for lunch though.

Dino’s makes the best pie in Charlottesville, only to be outshone by his friendly and professional service and attention to detail. The dairy and gluten-free options are also appreciated by my family members with food allergies.
