Warm and conscious interior design made the place feel cozy and modern at the same time. Ordered Brussels sprouts which came in a big bowl with black and white sesame seeds! The Brussels sprouts were a bit over cooked (almost charred and crunchy rather than a bit chewy) but a burst of flavor nonetheless. I also ordered the Tom are soup and grilled cheese which was a top notch dish! The soup was amazing, the bread was crunchy and the cheese was the perfect stringy consistency! I also noticed a great wine selection. I would return if I ever visit the area again! I can’t forget to mention that the waitress was a bundle of joy!

We live in the neighborhood and have walked by this place lots of times with the intent to go in! Finally went for a Friday night dinner yesterday during their fried chicken week. We both got the chicken sandwich and split a side of the honey/sriracha Brussels sprouts – YUM. Service was quick and the place was pretty chill. Hope more people stop by! Would love to see this place stick around.

Affordable, gluten free options, excellent service, and clean modern atmosphere with a wide range of prices. I came to visit between work shifts, and they were able to get me a great amount of food, gorgeous portions and quality, for a great price. Great customer service and honestly I’m surprised it isn’t more busy

This was perhaps my own fault but I ordered something which was no longer on the menu and seems like they had some extra around.

I like D&E for many reasons. First, they have a menu with interesting, new creations that are often timed well with local events/cultural moments. In addition, they have their staples like the fried chicken sandwich. The food is consistently delicious and I like sharing it with friends and family who are visiting the area. Second, it’s a cute spot and in the warmer months the front patio is a nice spot to enjoy the sun. Yes, Pioneer Square can be an unpredictable neighborhood, but the staff do all they can to make sure customers are comfortable and the owners are very involved in efforts to improve the area. Third, the staff are friendly, helpful, and good at what they do. We don’t make it in as much as we’d like to now that we moved further away, but every time we do it is a good experience. I recommend you check it out!

The atmosphere is lovely. The service is slow, and there is mandatory 20% tips included in a bill. Also when I went home and read the receipt, the waiter didn’t ask if we want fries with burgers, and just brought it on the side, so we assumed it is included in burger price. Did she forget to mention it? Did she do it on purpose? So we paid additional money for not so good French fries, which we even didn’t finish.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. The menu items looked amazing but they didn’t hit the mark. Service was incredibly slow. When I got my food, my eggs were over cooked and sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Great location and atmosphere but wouldn’t recommend.

They have removed all chicken from the menu. We ended up with water, overpriced Cesar salads (no protein), 3 deviled eggs (that’s 1.5 eggs) and fries for $60. Our server let us know that there is a 20% gratuity automatically added to all bills.

The biggest and tastiest oysters I’ve ever eaten for only a dollar each at happy hour!

Family had a great lunch here. Diverse menu and friendly service. Family favorites were the baked penne, the chicken sandwich, and the chef did a pumpkin seed brittle that was amazing. Salmon and clam spaghetti were also delicious.
