I prefer this place to Panera but don’t have one close to my home. Everything I have tried was wonderful. My go to is the chose 2 that you get half salad or sandwich or cup of soup. I love the Hudson Maurice and lobster bisque. The half of salad makes a meal for me. Only problem I have is the small cups and Pepsi products. I took a star off for that. Wish they would open more locations nearer to Detroit or the older ring suburbs.

Looks like they may have new owners or managers. We’ve dined her quite a bit over the years. Last visit, the restaurant seemed short staffed. It was not clean. Trash needed to be emptied, and the place just didn’t seem welcoming. The food was good, as usual.

Its all right… the place looks nice and they do a good job when it comes to presentation of the pie selection but they just dont have a “wow” taste… my pot pie was good though and the sandwich that my sister got was okay after i put my side on coleslaw in it. The workers are nice.

I get DoorDash delivery from this place quite often as they are one of the only places that make a Hudson Maurice salad the closest to the old Hudson’s. Now I understand that costs have gone up however, today I received my order and my salad barely had anything. To make matters worse I was given 1000 island. To go with my Maurice salad, instead the Maurice dressing. A large salad with a tiny one cup dressing that’s not even the correct dressing. I live about 25 minutes away which is why I DoorDash . DoorDash gave me a five dollar credit which is ridiculous, considering the actual cost of the salad but whatever. I called grand Traverse , and was told that there was a new kitchen employee. Well, if that is the case, then somebody should be checking the new employees stuff before it goes to the customer as the customer is the one that suffers and is the one footing the bill. Considering this was a carry out somebody should’ve done quality control before it walked out the door.

The McDonalds of pie. Misspelled sign telling you the wait for food is 15 to 20 minutes, thank you for your patient’s (sic) cold unfriendly staff, we left.

ABC pie was not as fresh as in Kroger stores so had to freeze left over pie before expiration date. Should have bought a piece of quiche pie instead of whole one. Too many big thick broccoli stems instead of tops.

Pricey & the berry pie with crumb topping was not good. Crust & topping were way to thick & very skimpy on the filling.

Fantastic atmosphere, it’s a welcoming place to have coffee and work, or enjoy a nice lunch or breakfast with family and friends. Their selection of pies are uncanny to anything I’ve ever encountered, and they serve by the slice too. Definitely worth it.
