We visited this place for Saturday brunch. The parking on the street was not free. We paid 3$ for it. It was a little quaint, and laid back place, however, not very clean. The floor was very sticky ( so much that my flip flop was getting stuck) and the washroom was not worth of mentioning. However, the food was good. The service was slow- they took a really long time to serve the food on the table. The food was good, especially the hash browns- the potatoes were crispy from the outside, and soft and mushy from the inside- and perfectly seasoned. It was a little greasy altogether and more appropriately meant for hangovers. The oil/ butter the used to prepare the eggs were stinky. I didn’t like the smell- overall, good greasy good.

Floors were very sticky, table was sticky as well. We had to request for it to be cleaned because the waiter was ready to give us the menus. Food looked good in presentation but really had no flavor. Both the pancakes and waffles were not soft. Chicken had no flavor. The food took 25min plus to come out! (No it was not busy) it should also be mentioned that the 20% gratuity is included in ALL tabs.

While trying to attain an old school diner status, I didn’t expect it to follow it to a T. From the outside the place had a very suave look but it’s facade falls as soon as you put your foot through the door. While trying to maintain a 80s retro diner feel with its bar stools and tables, the place would greet you with its extremely sticky floors and waffle house like greasy smell with open hands. I don’t know if they were generally this short-staffed on a Saturday morning, but their service was pretty late. However amidst all this diner imitation, it got one thing right – the FOOD. Their hashbrowns and potatoes were really something that I might overlook the sticky floor for. The breakfast platter eith the french toast and the short ribs hashbrown would give any old diner a run for their money and is a must try.

Spectacular breakfast spot in the heart of downtown Memphis. Cool atmosphere, great staff, and delicious menu items somewhat off the beaten breakfast path. Everything we ordered was fantastic!

Food was very good but the waiter we had was lacking in customer service. We went there last week after church with my in laws from out of town. As we placed our orders, I asked about substituting the country ham for bacon for our picky 7 year old. The waiter (tall, Caucasian, slender, young appearing dressed in a white Polo shirt, blue jeans, Vans and a navy blue and orange ball cap) told me “No! we aren’t going to be doing any substitutions to keep things easy”. No problem, I thought and politely said thank you. The thank you obviously rubbed him the wrong way and he frowned. My MIL looked at me just as confused as I looked, trying to figure out the unsolicited attitude. He went back to the bar and began speaking to another staff member. When I looked up at him, he covered his mouth with the check holder, obviously talking about me. Again, no problem but now is he going to spit in my food?, I thought. I am not sure if he was having a bad morning or there was something about me that he didn’t like based on my outward appearance. Either way, I can find good food without the poor customer service. No one deserves to be mistreated for no OBVIOUS reason. And after ALL that, he substituted the ham for bacon…. SMH

The atmosphere is great, the staff is excellent, and the food is SUPERB!! Just as good, or better than most high dollar “fine dining” suit and tie establishments. Breakfast, brunch or dinner, it’s all mouth watering, delicious. Pork Chop and Teres Major (2nd most tender cut from a cow, next to the tenderloin) plates pictured below (after we had started eating), we couldn’t wait and forgot to take pictures first.

On Monday October 31st, 2022. @ 1:14pm (Monday) my lady and I walked into this restaurant hoping to get something to eat. We drove a total of 65 minutes and paid for parking to come support this business and obviously eat.

Super good pancakes. Wish all food options were available at the time they say on the menu but most times I’m there I can only order breakfast even when they are on the brunch/ evening menu. But I really like this place!
