This place has the WORLDS best Mexican red hot sauce. I would consider myself a hot sauce connoisseur but have never tried a good one enough to write a review about it. I really appreciate the hot sauce buffet set up as well because you get to take a look at the other options for sauce. The workers here are very friendly and always super welcoming. As a Mexican myself, I would say this is as close to real authentic Mexican you’ll get in the Des Moines area and beyond. And trust me I’ve tried their “competitors”.

I grew up in Arizona and this place made me think of home with their cactus salad and unique salsas, etc. The Carnitas were so good and all 6 of us had tons of good food on our plates!! JUST TRY IT! DIY
tried the steak fajitas and they didn’t have much flavor the tortillas that came with the meal were huge and very tough the beans and rice were like everyone else’s. my wife likes the shrimp Chimichanga. not sure why but a little dissapointed that it was all served on paper plates.

I’m so glad we give this restaurant a try and ordered a Mexican pizza. It was fantastic and super delicioso. The crust was perfecto. The meat was cooked just right. The sauce was totally amazing. Overall, the pizza was fantastico. The pizza was super delicious, if you haven’t tried it, please please give this a shot. Believe me, you will not be disappointed. Overall, I give the food a 10 star rating.

I don’t even give this place a 1 star. The birria has been sitting all day and was served to me and my husband we took 1 bite and sent it back. Spoke with the manager and asked her for a refund because we did not even take 3 bites and she proceeded to tell us no because she tasted it and it tasted fine to her and this is how she cooks it everyday her exact words. 12 dollars a plate times 2. Do not come here the proof is in the pictures. Just look at the consume and the dryness of the rice and the carne asada meat. Do you see these chicken nuggets and fries? Do they even cook the fries. Complete disappointment and waste of money and the only thing i wanted was a refund for the birria plates with our ticket being over 70 dollars.

Great burritos and nachos. You can get some unique flavors and fillings like cactus. Not fast food as everything is made to order but doesn’t take too long. Drive thru is not any faster, because again, it’s not fast food.
