Went to Red’s for lunch with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. The place was very slow, I think there was 2-3 other people in the bar. Our order was taken promptly and the bartender / server was awesome. Drinks came out quickly. The food not so much. When it did arrive both cheeseburgers that we ordered were cold. The cheese wasn’t even melted. I complained that the food was cold and the bartender spoke to the cook about it within earshot. The cook didn’t feel anything was wrong with the food and stated he could reheat it, via microwave I presume. I reiterated that the cheese wasn’t even melted, how hot can a burger be if it doesn’t even melt the cheese on it? My friend had his burger remade but I declined. I didn’t feel comfortable having a pissed off cook remake my food. To their credit my friend’s burger was remade and looked great. My friend said it tasted great too. After numerous scenarios similar to this I don’t think I’ll be visiting Red’s again anytime soon.

We have come to expect poor service here, but the food and drinks typically make up for it. Not the case anymore. We waited an hour for our food, on a morning where there was maybe 15 people in the restaurant. There were only two people working, one server/bartender and one cook. We should have left when the cook walked out of the kitchen, through the bar to have a cigarette on the sidewalk in front of the place. The food was not prepared how we had ordered it. We never received our water, had to get our own silverware, and asked for items to complete our order that were listed on the menu. We were never asked how things were or if we needed anything else. After 45 minutes we should have left a $10 bill on the table for the mediocre drinks and walked out. We will not return to Reds, and caution anyone else to think twice. I would leave zero starts if it was an option.

Just about the most terrible restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We went in for Sunday morning breakfast. We went because they had unlimited mimosas. We arrived at approximately 8:20. We waited at least 30 minutes before any server came by. Ordered coffee, water, and mimosas. We received our coffee about 10 minutes later. It took almost half an hour before the waitress came back and told us they had no Champagne for the mimosas. We changed our order to Bloody Marys. We received our water and Bloody Marys about 10 minutes later. It was now about 9:30 and we had just gotten our drinks.

First impressions are important. Walking into this place the sidewalk was covered in cigarette butts, so curb appeal is lacking. After getting seated, the waitress informs that they have no coffee, they ran out the day prior. So many drink coffee with breakfast. If it is too much to expect for someone to grab some petty cash and drive to one of the many grocery stores that are open 24 hours to pick up coffee then there must be more management issues that are not apparent.

I am giving you one star because our waitress was stellar. We work downtown and come in at least once or twice a week. In the last few weeks, the quality of food has been deteriorating. The fried food tastes stale and is overcooked. Today we ordered two salads and two half-pizza and salads and we waited 55 minutes . . no food. Finally got our food to go with a 50% comp. Walked around the corner (literally) to eat and the pizza was C-O-L-D. Really?

I wasn’t planning to leave a review but Google popped up to remind me so here we are. I was with two co-workers on Sunday the 7th of October and we visited Reds to grab a couple drinks. The first round everything was great, the second round, instead of giving me Captain and coke like I asked for, the bartender (I think his name was Chris J) gave me the white well rum. I then ordered one round of Vegas Bombs for the three of us and we go back to talking. The bar’s fairly dead and while we’re talking, the bartender makes three cherry bombs (4 actually and he had one) and gives them to us. We figured it was just nice of him and go back to talking. Maybe 10-15 minutes later he gives us another bomb- and all I know was it had something with honey in it. Definitely not something I ever would have ordered. At the end of the night I go to pay – expecting to be charged for only the one round of shots I ordered – and either those bombs are $12 each or I was charged for 9 shots. It was a super shady thing to do and as a result, I will never recommend this place to anyone.

It’s not too often that I give businesses 5-stars on Google reviews, but this place definitely deserves it! Good service, great food, awesome daily specials on food, and decent beer selection! I don’t like going downtown to go to a bar, but I’ll definitely make an exception for this place! Btw, if you read my other reviews, this place is in my Top 3 list along with The Broken Spoke and The Newbo Alehouse.

Came here and their manager is clearly incompetent (jared) was giving out free drinks to his friends and double charging the rest of the clientele, mixed me the wrong drinks and didn’t have the event I came for. Food was overpriced for the quality; tasted like mcdonalds. This is the worst bar downtown, 0/10 will never come back.

Very poor service. Waited over 40 minutes for food at 2pm on a tuesday with no other customers and I called in 15 minutes prior. Little blonde dude behind the counter was unprofessional in tone and attire. Look like the employees just woke up and were grumpy. I got my food, it was saturated so bad that it was inedible. Never ate here before, never will again.

Terribly understaffed. Went to grab a quick bite before an event and got a drink after a 10 minute wait. Ordered and 45 minutes later walked out without food being served. It was busy but there was no wait to get in like most of the surrounding places. That should have been a tip off.
