The combo fried rice and egg rolls are so good! They give you so much, and I usually share it with my kids. Back in the day they also sold hamburger and fry combos, they should bring that back. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t go in anymore, so people order in the drive thru and it takes so long. I like to call my order in and then pick it up, but oftentimes no one picks up the phone.

Best accidental find!! The spicy shrimp fried rice was so FRESH with big shrimp not the little tiny ones, and the egg rolls were delicious and tasted homemade! The sweet tea was yummy too

I’m very mixed on this. Chicken tenders were velveted Chinese style, which lead to a very tender meat, but which gave a “Chinese food” flavor. Although the signage is a chicken restaurant, the menu was mostly Chinese food. Would have been better with noodles and lemon sauce than fried okra, French fries and gravy. Fried okra was very good, crunchy green flavors. Fries and gravy up to par, just a weird preparation of chicken tenders.

The only reason I gave this fast food restaurant a one-star rating is because I could not give them a negative rating. I visited this location on May 23rd 2019 and ordered a 5 piece chicken tender with gravy and one chicken thigh. It took them a while to get my order and I later found out when the girl came back to the window was because they made fresh chicken pieces. Well when I arrive home which is located about 20 seconds away from the location my chicken tenders were very lukewarm and dry on the inside and the crispiness of the batter tasted as if they had been sitting out all day long. So I bit off of 1 and it was what I assumed very dry and not crispy at all and I broke open another the same thing with that one. So I politely drove back around to the location went inside and told the little girl that was working the drive-thru window if I could please get a fresh batch of Tinder because these were dry and very very lukewarm. She gave the chicken to the older gentleman that owns the restaurant and told him what happened he told me that I already had three pieces of Tinder in the Box and he would only replace two. The owner told me that I only brought back three pieces of chicken I responded to him that I split open two pieces of chicken which were in the box and there are three whole pieces of chicken. So in a nutshell he told me that he refused to serve me he refused to give me fresh pieces of chicken tenders and he threw my $6.05 back at me and told me that he was done with me as I was leaving the restaurant he was telling his wife that works there too something in reference to “Black People” I could not get the rest. As I left the establishment I told him he just lost a good customer and he threw his hands up as if he didn’t care. It’s one thing to have poor customer service it’s another thing to discriminate against someone because of the color of their skin when he said something about “black people” he made it racial. And the crazy thing about it his restaurant is located in a predominantly African-American area so we are his customer “black people”

I really like the small neighborhood feel. Their gizzards are great and the Chinese rice is incredible. I enjoy it. It may need some updating but the owners are passionate about what they do and the years that they have put into it.

I’ve been going to Golden Chicken for the last 15 years. The owners are very friendly and they really try to get to know their repeat customers. Everything on their menu is worth your attention. They have meal deals and will go out of their way to make special requests or changes the customer may want. Try their made to order Chinese dishes! However, a word to the wise: the area is quite rough. Ladies, don’t go alone at night as there is a serious gang element entrenched in this neighborhood. Enjoy!
