After success with KATSUYAKI in Northern California, Chef Eric opens the first KATSUYAKI in Costa Mesa, Southern California.

This place has some really good food! They’re very similar to Chick-fil-A but they have katsu chicken and Japanese coleslaw which makes it different. They also have plates and other options. The prices are reasonable, the staff is so nice. Great place and I’ll be back!

Yuna & Eric were very welcoming!! They greeted us with a smile and were very polite. They offered us a free sample of Katsu. The place is very clean and organized. The food is very good and the customer service was amazing!! I got the #7 chicken & beef teriyaki + katsu bento box. And an order of shrimp tempura, it was warm and delicious. The menu had pictures which definitely help being able to see what you’re ordering. Highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back soon!

My mom and I tried Katsuyaki cuz we drove by and were craving some Japanese food. Their katsu and teriyaki are very good. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Friendly staff. We enjoyed it!

This place is great. Randomly found it online last night when we wanted take out but from somewhere we haven’t already eaten 1,000 times. She got the chicken teriyaki bento, I got the katsu and beef teriyaki bento.

I went to Katsuyaki to meet my friends the other evening, and it is fantastic! We ordered our food at the counter and while waiting we were greeted with a very pleasant employee acknowledging us. Then, after our food arrived, the chef/owner came and also checked on us as well. After a lovely conversation, and food, I will be sure to return.
