Great Soul food here!!! I love the Catfish nuggets and the frog legs!! Wifey likes their tips and the greens are fire with the smoked turkey!! I visit Rockford once in awhile. So glad I had taste for FRIED Green Tomatoes. I googled places near me. Drove there, ordered, waited patiently for food. A lovely lady brought out to me. Once I saw here I knew it was gonna be great. She put hot sauce in container, poked holes and everything.

Rip tips and spaghetti is to die for!!! Thier fish is decent. The atmosphere is not much because it’s a take out joint. You can order and sit in your car and someone brings the food to you.

3rd and final time visiting! Rib Tips weren’t dried out and burnt this time, but extremely tough. Asked for extra sauce and didn’t get any. It is a Vinegar based sauce and all you taste is Vinegar. Corn Bread was hard as a Hockey Puck, Dressing had a funky taste and it was just a big BLOB with a slice of canned Cranberry sauce. I can definitely cook this meal much better at home for way less than the $19 I spent on this meal.

Great Food with awesome portion sizes. We had the chicken and ribs with sweet potatoes, greens, garlic toast and corn bread. Yummy. Catfish is a must try. We prefer the nuggets. Must try in Rockford!!!

1st time trying. Didnt have what I went for so I got the rib dinner. Ribs were mixed with older cooked ribs so made many pieces tough,greens had a bone in them and no season,dressing was good until I came across some really dry pieces of meat so most likely was also not cooked fresh. My corn bread burnt to a crisp. Toast was decent. Not worth $17 or the $3 tip. I can cook all of the above and this dinner was it!!
