It’s a no for me. Let me be very clear, this is a review on the curry chicken only. I really wanted to like this place, I did. Especially because of the reviews on Google. I’ve had the curry chicken dish at least 3 times from here just to validate my opinion. Every single time my chicken was dry. DRY. To the point where this last time I really considered bringing the food back. The cabbage isn’t flavorful either. I love eating Jamaican food but this place seems to miss the mark on well seasoned chicken and cabbage. The cabbage tastes unseasoned every single time.

The overall flavor of the food has gone down in 2023. It seems less seasoned and just not very flavorful. Almost no gravy on oxtail and just sort of dry rice n peas. Previously, I had given 5 stars because everything had been so amazing. It just seems to not be at that same level now.

I didn’t order foods just some snacks. No idea how the foods taste. The only reason I gave that place 3 stars is because of the service…only one cashier and in between customer she has to go help the food server. It is clean and inviting. I will definitely go again.

Excellent does not even come close to how wonderful the experience is at Kingston Kafe. Friendly and helpful staff, healthy portions, beautifully spiced food, and a wonderful dining room. Thank you to everyone – I feel the love and the hard work that goes into every meal. The smile on my face can last for hours after eating here. Do not miss the black cake!

Food was absolutely scrumptious!! The staff was really courteous and the plates were plentiful. Go there with a good appetite and you will not be disappointed. I had the Escovitched Snapper and my wife and kids had the Oxtail and the Jerk Chicken. Delicious food and great service!
